Executive Director's Message - Jenny Berg
2021 Compensation & Benefits Planning

This spring, before Covid-19 hit, we launched our 2020 compensation & benefits survey, sponsored by VonLehman CPA & Advisory Firm, and administered by Employers Resource Association. The range and depth of data provided by the 140+ agency respondents is very valuable to the entire nonprofit sector. This survey includes local, comparative and up to date compensation, benefits and trends.

NEW for 2020 - we analyzed the data, segregating it by gender differences in executive pay, and compensation and benefits broken down by budget size. No matter the size of organization, this survey provides benchmarking data to include in your strategies and your budget planning for 2021.

For more information or to purchase the survey (discounted for Leadership Council members) Click Here.

Nonprofit Partnerships: Follow These 3 Tax Steps for Success
Most people use the terminology “partnership” believing a partnership is when two or more organizations come together to pool their resources and collaborate to achieve a common purpose.  Unfortunately, from a legal and tax perspective, a “partnership” is a legal agreement between two or more organizations that involve a complex interaction of business law, tax law and intellectual property rules.

There are many positive outcomes for a nonprofit organization to form a partnership with another organization(s) such as:
  1. Increasing revenue
  2. Reducing costs
  3. Gaining efficiencies
  4. Taking on larger projects
  5. New and broader markets
  6. Gaining new advocates

Rosemary's Babies Company
Established in 2016, Rosemary’s Babies Company (RBC) provides support for parenting youth, ages 13-19, and their families. By providing family support to three generations - the teen parent, the grandparents, and the child – RBC can change the trajectory for the entire family. Rosemary’s Babies Company mission is to help teen parents master the concepts of self-leadership to break the cycle of poverty and become a productive member of their community.
RBC’s primary goals are to 1. Provide intervention, education, and prevention for teen parents and families to eradicate generational pregnancy and poverty, while alleviating their dependence on governmental benefits. 2. Improve the health of teen parent families and their babies; before, during and after the delivery of their babies. 3. Reduce the disparities that impact the lives of teen parent families that render them helpless and ashamed to seek help, while developing policy initiatives that allow them to be successful leaders in our community.
Since inception, RBC has served more than 400 families. RBC is a United Way of Greater Cincinnati partner and focuses on the most at risks populations, minorities and those who fall 200% below poverty. Read More
