Leadership Collaborative and Giving Voice in collaboration
with Catholic Extension announce an opportunity
for religious sisters 70 and under to serve as part of the
Sisters on the Frontline initiative.

Dear Sisters,
Christmas Greetings! The Leadership Collaborative has been given the opportunity to be involved with Sisters on the Frontline in collaboration with Catholic Extension through the generosity of GHR Foundation. We have been approved to receive $100,000 to support 100 women religious in receiving a $1,000 grant each to be distributed to the people and families with whom sisters serve and/or are aware of being in need of support. We invited Giving Voice to participate along with the Leadership Collaborative to reach-out to sisters in our networks. We are privileged to be liaison with participants and Catholic Extension as we believe in continuing to grow the spirit and understanding of the mission of the Leadership Collaborative.
The Leadership Collaborative in collaboration with Catholic Extension set up the following criteria for sisters interested in participating in this endeavor.

Applicants: Applicants are any woman religious between 20 - 70 years of age who send a note of interest starting January 1st to either Mary Stanco, HM or Vicki Wuolle, CSA at Leadership Collaborative to begin the process and receive application information for funds using the Sisters on the Frontlines program criteria.

Criteria: The criteria is to spend $1,000 on a community/family/person in need in the United States. The priority will be individuals or families who are suffering the adverse effects of the pandemic including the homeless, the undocumented, and financially stressed women and children. Sisters will have full discretion on how to use the funds when received.

Application Process: Leadership Collaborative will approve 25 potential applicants at a time over a four month time frame with due dates to apply on January 10th, February 10th , March 10th and April 10th 2021. The process will be first come first serve unless timing is essential. Upon our approval, selected applicants will be directed to complete the brief Sisters on the Frontline application form through Catholic Extension.

Reporting: Applicants will report out to Catholic Extension using the reporting form with one of the following: a 1-2 minute video, photo and written report including the action and what it means for you. In preparation for the report the Leadership Collaborative will offer a one time opportunity to partake in theological reflection in light of servant leadership and mission. You are also invited to share an article or photos of your experience for Leadership Collaborative website and newsletter which will be submitted to Mary Stanco, HM, Director of Communications.

El Colaborativo de Liderazgo tiene la oportunidad de participar en un proyecto de Sisters on the Frontline (Hermanas al Frente de la Línea) en colaboración con Extensión Católica a través de la generosidad de la Fundación GHR. Nos han aprobado 100,000 dólares para apoyar a 100 religiosas, quienes recibirán una subvención de 1000 dólares cada una para ser distribuidos a las personas y familias a las que las hermanas sirven y/o que necesitan apoyo. Invitamos a Giving Voice a participar junto con el Colaborativo de Liderazgo para contactar a las hermanas que tenemos en nuestras redes. El Colaborativo de Liderazgo en colaboración con Extensión Católica estableció los siguientes criterios para las hermanas interesadas en participar en este esfuerzo:
- Las solicitantes puede ser cualquier mujer religiosa entre 20 y 70 años que envíe una nota de interés a Mary Stanco, HM o a Vicki Wuolle, CSA del Colaborativo de Liderazgo para comenzar el proceso y recibir información sobre la solicitud de fondos.

Se usarán los criterios del programa Sisters on the Frontlines, uno de los cuales es dar 1000 dólares a una comunidad, familia o persona necesitada en los Estados Unidos. La prioridad serán las personas o familias que estén sufriendo los efectos adversos de la pandemia, incluso personas sin techo, indocumentadas y mujeres y niños con problemas financieros. Las hermanas tendrán total discreción en el uso de los fondos cuando los reciban.
- El Colaborativo de Liderazgo aprobará a 25 posibles solicitantes a la vez, durante un período de cuatro meses (enero, febrero, marzo y abril de 2021) y las solicitudes se irán considerando por orden de llegada, a menos que el tiempo sea un factor esencial.
- Tras la aprobación, las solicitantes seleccionadas completarán el breve formulario de solicitud de Sisters on the Frontline a través de Extensión Católica.
- Las solicitantes le harán un informe a Extensión Católica usando el formulario correspondiente con uno de los siguientes: un vídeo de 1 a 2 minutos o una foto y un informe escrito que describa la acción y lo que significa para usted. En preparación para el informe, el Colaborativo de Liderazgo ofrecerá una oportunidad única de participar en una reflexión teológica a la luz del liderazgo y la misión del servicio.
- También se le invita a compartir un artículo o fotos de su experiencia para el sitio web y el boletín del Colaborativo de Liderazgo, por medio de enviarlo(s) a Mary Stanco, HM, Directora de Comunicaciones.
