Happy 13 Years of Lead to Read KC!
In addition to celebrating National Reading Month in March, we also recognize the anniversary of Lead to Read KC's founding in 2011. From the first reading sessions with Co-founders Lynn and Jean Rundle, pictured here, and a handful of volunteers, we have now grown to over 1,600 Reading Mentors serving 63 classrooms in 28 schools. Thank you to everyone who supported us over the past 13 years.

Volunteer Spotlight: Laura Logan
Lead to Read KC offers so many different volunteer opportunities and Laura Logan has made the most of them all. She started as a Reading Mentor in 2018 after hearing about the program through her job at Hallmark. Over the past six years she has added book distribution and our community outreach events to her schedule.
Welcome Dr. Collier

"I hope you are enjoying the flood of messages on empowerment, accomplishment, and praise for so many women in our community and across the globe who are doing incredible things. As we celebrate this month, I couldn’t think of a more appropriate time to welcome Dr. Collier."
