Lazy Dog Restaurant is coming to Buffalo Grove! The Village Board officially approved plans for a new Lazy Dog location at the corner of Lake Cook Road and Route 83. Known for its innovative twists on American dishes served with small mountain-town hospitality and dog-friendly patios, Lazy Dog is poised to become a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike. The second new business is now open at The Clove! Guzman y Gomez (GYG) celebrated their ribbon cutting and grand opening last week, welcoming over 4,000 customers on their first day alone. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, GYG specializes in Mexican cuisine with burritos, nachos, tacos, quesadillas and more!

How's a 0% increase to the property tax levy sound? That's what our proposed 2024 budget once again provides BG residents! In fact, the Village has kept its property tax levy flat since 2019. This is achieved through aggressive debt and liability management, spending controls, operational efficiency and innovation as a means to deliver the highest quality of services at the best value to our community.

Staff will present the 2024 budget to the Village Board on Monday, November 13 at 7:30 p.m. Final approval of the budget is expected December 4.

Join the Buffalo Grove Park District for a special Veterans Day Celebration this Saturday, November 11 at the Community Arts Center, located at 225 McHenry Road. A reception with lunch served will take place from 12:15-1:15 p.m. followed by the program at 1:30 p.m. with speeches and military music. BG Symphonic Band to present fall concert

The Buffalo Grove Symphonic Band will present its 22nd Annual Fall Concert this Saturday evening, November 11 at 7:00 p.m. at Vernon Hills High School. This concert, called "Freedom", will feature music honoring our military veterans and trailblazers in Black music history. Donate to Toys for Tots for children in need

The BG Police Department is again accepting new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots now through December 10. Drop of toys in the donation boxes located in the Police Department lobby to help make the holidays special for a child in need!

Donate coats and winter wear

Support a hero in our community! The BG Police Department's annual winter coat drive to support Midwest Veterans Closet is back. From now through the end of February, the Police Department lobby is accepting donations of new and gently used coats or winter wear to support veterans in need in our area.

Properly dispose of leaves and yard waste

Remember to properly bag leaves with other yard waste for pickup. Leaves cannot be raked into the street. Don't care to bag your leaves? You can always mulch them into you lawn using a lawnmower, or rake leaves to garden beds. Doing so provides excellent nutrients to the soil for a healthy lawn and garden.
