 New Jerusalem Church
The Elmwood Society of the New Jerusalem Church commenced February 1830. The church building, located on West Street, is dated 1854.

In 1883 a kitchen was added and in 1902 the old pews were changed to the present curved ones. Also, the plain windows with shutters were replaced with arched stained glass windows. Thus the exterior changed from a plain meeting house type of building to modified Lombard Romanesque.

At the rear of the church can be seen an addition which grew as a large hall was added. The large building in the background was the I. N. Keith and E. H. Lothrop Shoe Factory.

On December 12th, 2011, Elmwood New Church's steeple, belfry and bell were brought to the ground, structural issues caused it to be raised. A new Elmwood New Church now stands in its place.

EB's Mollie Runs Her 10th Annual K-9 Fundraiser
Mollie’s wish is to help one Massachusetts K9 unit per year. Mollie created a slogan, "helping police dogs one paw at a time"
10 years ago, asked her friends and family to give donations to Massachusetts Vest-a-Dog, in lieu of gifts for her 10th birthday. She was able to raise $500! This was the start of Mollie’s Annual birthday fundraiser!

This year's event, to benefit East Bridgewater's canines, was held on Saturday, July 17th, 6p at the Bridgewater Vets Club, 85 Cottage St, but you can still donate!

Couldn't make it but want to make a donation:
1) Mail a check payable to “ MA Vest-A-Dog, Inc.”
Drop off: East Bridgewater Police Station or Bridgewater Police Station
*** IMPORTANT: Must put MOLLIE in the memo of the check***
2) PayPal online direct link for online donations:

Find out about all of Mollie's past fundraisers at Mollie's Vest A Dog Fundraiser page.

Congratulation's Mollie! 10 years is quite an accomplishment!!!
