Our training for this year consists of two parts. The first part is a Relias module titled "Basics of Corporate Compliance." The second part involves reviewing and acknowledging nine policies in Paylocity. Ongoing training plays a crucial role in maintaining an effective compliance program. This training serves as a “reminder” to everyone about the purpose of our program and their responsibilities in helping me ensure that we comply with regulatory guidelines, as well as the laws that govern us, and our internal policies and procedures.

We are excited to announce that two of our healthcare facilities, EHS- The Woodlands and Texas Emergency Hospital, have consistently received more positive Google reviews than other hospitals in the area. EHS - The Woodlands has received an impressive average rating of 4.5 out of 5.00 stars on Google, while Texas Emergency Hospital holds a solid rating of 4.2 out of 5 stars. Patients have highly praised these facilities for their kindness, warmth, and compassion in patient care.

TEXAS EMERGENCY HOSPITAL HOSTS FIRST HEALTH FAIR IN CLEVELAND | |
Texas Emergency Hospital hosted its first community health fair on August 30th. Over twenty health-related organizations came together to offer their services and products to residents from Cleveland and surrounding areas. The Health Fair provided a great opportunity for everyone to learn more about local healthcare organizations and conveniently access health-related resources all in one place.
Participants had the chance to receive free health screenings, including glucose and blood pressure monitoring and BMI assessments. In addition to these, vendors added to the excitement by offering raffles for gift baskets.

IMPLEMENTING BEST PRACTICES IN MATERIALS MANAGEMENT | |
The Department of Materials Management at Texas Emergency Hospital has undergone a successful reorganization, optimizing its systems and processes to ensure that TEH clinical staff has the right supplies at the right time, all while maintaining cost efficiency and sustainability.
Several changes have been implemented to enhance inventory management resulting in a more more organized inventory, reduced wastage, and minimized risks of shortages or overstocking.

CLINICAL STAFF ENHANCES EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS THROUGH SETRAC DECONTAMINATION TRAINING | |
Clinical staff from EHS's four locations participated in the Decontamination Training program offered by SETRAC at Texas Emergency Hospital in Cleveland. This training program aims to educate clinical staff about the proper procedures for handling and decontaminating hazardous materials and infectious agents. These procedures are necessary for ensuring the safety of both healthcare workers and patients during emergencies.

EHS JOINS BACK-TO-SCHOOL 2023 SPECTACULAR EVENT TO SUPPORT LOCAL STUDENTS | |
TEH participated in the annual Back-to-School Spectacular Event hosted by the City of Cleveland. The event was a huge success, bringing together over 500 children from Cleveland and nearby communities. Texas Emergency Hospital set up a decorated booth and donated 500 sets crayons. We are proud to have been a part of this community giveaway that aimed to support our local students.

INAUGURAL MEETING OF LIBERTY COUNTY COMMUNITY COALITION

On September 19, Texas Emergency Hospital (TEH) proudly hosted the inaugural meeting of the Liberty County Community Coalition in its cafeteria. The event brought together representatives from over 15 organizations in Liberty County to address the most pressing issues facing local residents.
The special guest speaker, Dr. Jasmine Sulaiman from the Health Center of Southeast Texas, shared valuable insights. This newly formed coalition aims to enhance the physical and mental well-being of residents by identifying service gaps and collaboratively providing resources and education. The Coalition represents a great collaborative effort for the improvement of the community.

We want to extend our gratitude to all the team members who contributed to the EHS Back to School Drive 2023. Once again, the generosity and kindness of our staff shone brightly, demonstrating the spirit of giving that defines the annual Back to School Drive tradition here at EHS.
All donations were delivered to Santa Fe Elementary in Cleveland, where they brought smiles to the faces of children and families in our community.

With nearly four decades of dedicated service in the Environmental Services (EVS) field, Kevin has witnessed the vital role that the EVS teams play in ensuring the well-being of patients in a hospital setting. As the Director of EVS, Kevin focuses on protecting patients from Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAI), a critical role at EHS. Kevin’s journey began with an undergraduate degree in financial planning, where he helped clients secure their financial futures through investments. However, a personal experience changed his life.

We're happy to introduce Chelsea Capelo, our dedicated EHS dietitian who is passionate about health and nutrition. Chelsea received her undergraduate degree from the University of Houston and her graduate degree from Texas Woman's University. As a hospital dietitian, Chelsea's primary responsibility is to provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) to patients and create personalized care plans. She understands that every patient is unique and requires personalized treatment.
