Early this morning, ABC News went live from The Morning Roast to discuss all that Cranford has to offer over the summer months. While this is a time of year many families try to get away for vacation, our wonderful town has an incredible amount going on. This includes Story Time with our Fire and Police Departments on Thursday mornings, Thursday evening concerts at Eastman Plaza, Tosho-con and other Library activities, Township Recreation programs and rentals from the Canoe Club, and a wide selection of local businesses and restaurants to visit.

This can be a slower season, so please remember to shop local. And be sure to redeem your Downtown Cranford gift cards–our businesses do not benefit until you spend them.

UPDATE: Footbridge Construction

Commissioner of Public Works Kathleen Miller Prunty gives an update on the footbridge construction projects.

  • Balmiere Parkway / Riverside Drive (Union County Engineering Dept.):

  • Crane Parkway / Harold Johnson Place (Cranford Department of Public Works):
  • Welders are currently repairing the crossbeams.
  • New planks will be installed.
