Pricing Orders

Long Term Pricing Update

On March 29, 2023, the BCCMB finalized the new Terms of Reference for the Joint Working Group.

Consultant Serecon has completed its data collection and the third party review by MNP is expected soon. For the full update click here.

Biosecurity and Avian Influenza

Enhance Your Biosecurity with Benches at the Barn Entry

Adding a physicial bench at the barn entry improves farm biosecurity because it helps remind people to change their boots. When designing the bench, ensure the bench touches the floor and walls on both sides to prevent organic material from the Controlled Access Zone (CAZ) contaminating the Restricted Area (RA).

The floors on both sides of the bench must be kept clean with, for example, a dedicated broom for each side.

The basic steps for utilizing a bench at the entry are:

Enter the anteroom and remove outerwear.
Disinfect any supplies.
For visitors, sign the visitors log.
Sit down on the bench and remove your shoes - but do not touch your socks to the floor.
Swing your feet over the barrier and straight into your Restricted Area footwear without touching your socks to the floor.
Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer
Put on your barn-specific clothing.
Adapt for your barn as needed
