Infor FSM Project Status

We have achieved several important milestones since the Nov. 1 go-live of our Infor CloudSuite FSM and CDM standardization project. We have successfully processed two payrolls covering 10,000+ employees, more than 13,000 supply orders and more than 12,000 invoices. We have focused our efforts on continued stabilization since we stopped sending daily updates and there are no open issues broadly impacting the organization.

Our post-implementation efforts have advanced as expected. We will continue to monitor charges from the CDM Chargemaster, and teams continue to work on any remaining minor issues and planned post-implementation tasks. Topical and targeted communications will continue to appropriate stakeholders if needed.

A final wrap-up will be provided in mid-December. In the meantime, the project team would like to thank all Aspirus team members for your patience and engagement during this important transition and standardization. If you need ongoing support, use the links below, which require network access:

Office of Medical Education (OME) Awards

The Aspirus Office of Medical Education (OME) recognizes collaboration and contributions made by Aspirus Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) as clinical teachers for medical students and advance practice clinician students.

This is the fifth year OME has recognized these efforts throughout the Aspirus system.

This year’s Mission Award goes to Tou Shoua Lor, MD, Family Medicine Physician with Aspirus Kronenwetter Clinic.

Dr. Lor demonstrates a passion to train advance practice students or medical students recognizing it as the right thing to do to help heal people, promote health and strengthen communities.

Below are submissions by students of Dr. Lor.

“Dr. Lor is an incredible role model devoted to teaching and encouraging the next generation of physicians. As an underrepresented minority who had a difficult journey into medical school, Dr. Lor instills confidence and hope in a field filled with self-doubt. Dr. Lor encourages us students to take initiative and is the light at the end of the tunnel that makes me believe that one day I too can become a great physician just like Dr. Lor.” - Medical Student

“Dr. Lor was an incredible mentor and teacher during my clinical apprenticeship. Dr. Lor would schedule time out of his busy schedule just to be able to teach and discuss cases together. Time where he can see more patients, he sacrifices to teaching his students. He allowed me to participate in everything and instilled confidence and belief that I too can become a great physician one day.” - Medical Student

Additional OME Award winners will be announced in future editions of Aspirus News Now and on our Aspirus social media channels.

Holding Ourselves Accountable

We continue our extended look at Corporate Compliance and Ethics to share related tips from our compliance and privacy partners to help you avoid some common pitfalls.

This week Jacquelyn Bushey, Compliance Auditor, addresses the ways we hold ourselves accountable to the professional and ethical standards of our Code of Conduct:

  • Ethical culture – Aspirus strives to embed our core values – compassion, accountability, collaboration, foresight and joy – as well as integrity and fairness in all that we do. These principles govern our actions and help us define and safeguard our culture.

  • Internal Audit Process – One way to enforce our ethical standards and protect our organization and employees is through the internal audit process. The Aspirus Compliance department collaborates with different departments in the organization to help identify risk areas, support the development of internal controls to mitigate risk, review policies and procedures, and provide guidance and recommendations for putting safeguards in place.

  • State and Federal audit programs – We participate in these programs to ensure transparency with reimbursement for delivery of health care services.

Look for the “Compliance Program” link under the Life & Career menu on the intranet to learn more about our compliance team and program.

Employee Benefits

Loss of Medicaid/State Benefits

Adding Aspirus Benefit Coverage

The Medicaid renewal period is now underway and will continue through May 2024. State agencies are sending letters outlining the actions that must be taken to renew eligibility and avoid a loss in Medicaid coverage.

If you carry health, dental and/or vision insurance (for yourself and/or your dependents) through a Medicaid State program, such as BadgerCare Plus or the Healthy Michigan Plan, you may need to go through the renewal process. This is to determine if you are still eligible to participate in the program.

No longer eligible for coverage?

Any employee (and/or dependents) determined ineligible to participate in their state Medicaid program can request to enroll in Aspirus coverage via the “Life Event” module in GHR.
