Women's Retreat

We had a fantastic Women's Retreat with Sylvia Vasquez as our speaker. God did incredible life change in all of the women who came. We were all so blessed. As always it makes us anticipate and look forward to the next retreat even more; as we see God moving in the lives of all the ladies who came.

Single Young Adult's Retreat

We just had our first ever, CRC hosted Single Young Adult's Retreat. It was wonderful seeing who all God brought to be encouraged, refreshed and strengthened in their walk with the Lord. We had very blessed times of worship, teaching and fellowship. We are definitely going to have another retreat in 2024!

New Staff!

Hannah Graham

It's a little late but we are delighted to announce that Hannah joined our Staff in the beginning of November. She has been a great asset to our Staff and we love having her here.

Spring?

We have had a very interesting last few months weather wise! February 21st it started snowing and it continued to snow well into April! The deep drifts have finally melted away. We are seeing a few brave flowers coming up and we are delighted that Spring is finally coming!

Thank you!

We want to extend our deep gratitude to all of you who faithfully support the ministry here at CRC. We literally could not do what we do here without your generous contributions and many prayers. Thank you all so much!

Director's Corner...

What is happening at CRC?

Dear Friends,

Julie and I have been on the adventure of our lives since last July when the Lord spoke that we should step down from our position as the directors of Christian Renewal Center (CRC). We have been following Him step by step since then.

From the beginning, our heart has been, “Not our will, but Your will be done.” We laid down our place at CRC on the altar as Abraham did with Isaac, considering many options over the past nine months including turning over CRC to other leaders or another ministry or even selling CRC. With each new possibility we asked, “Lord, should we go this way?” and each time He made it clear, “No, this is not the way.”

Several of our staff and closest friends have offered to cover the ministry for us for a season while we took time to rest and pray for clearer direction. We wept as they said, “We’ll cover CRC while you take time to seek the Lord for the future.” We knew God was looking out for us, but we didn’t have His peace in accepting the generous offers they made.

We finally began to experience the peace of God that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) when our son Peter approached us about directing CRC. We went to the Lord and after many talks, much prayer and finally with the unanimous support of our board, we have chosen Peter to take our place as leaders, while supporting and mentoring him along the way. We believe God’s anointing is upon him for this calling, and that the Center will be blessed and prosper through his willing obedience to carry on the ministry here.

What else lies ahead? We aren’t sure exactly, but if the last nine months is any indication, God is definitely in control and has great things in store for CRC and for all of us. Thank you for your prayers and support through this challenging season. God has demonstrated His strength in our weakness. We are so blessed to be members of His family and to have brothers and sisters like you.

In Christ Jesus, your Lord and ours,

Tim & Julie Hansen

Thank you for taking the time to catch up on the latest CRC news with us! We are thankful for God answering our prayers for the future of CRC. We serve a great God! What a joy it is to walk with Him each day.

"But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Lord,

at an acceptable time;

O God, in the greatness of Your lovingkindness,

Answer me with Your saving truth."

Psalm 69:13

We hope to see you up here again soon! May you have a blessed day.

Joyfully, Abigail Swayze
