Dear Friends,
Julie and I have been on the adventure of our lives since last July when the Lord spoke that we should step down from our position as the directors of Christian Renewal Center (CRC). We have been following Him step by step since then.
From the beginning, our heart has been, “Not our will, but Your will be done.” We laid down our place at CRC on the altar as Abraham did with Isaac, considering many options over the past nine months including turning over CRC to other leaders or another ministry or even selling CRC. With each new possibility we asked, “Lord, should we go this way?” and each time He made it clear, “No, this is not the way.”
Several of our staff and closest friends have offered to cover the ministry for us for a season while we took time to rest and pray for clearer direction. We wept as they said, “We’ll cover CRC while you take time to seek the Lord for the future.” We knew God was looking out for us, but we didn’t have His peace in accepting the generous offers they made.
We finally began to experience the peace of God that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) when our son Peter approached us about directing CRC. We went to the Lord and after many talks, much prayer and finally with the unanimous support of our board, we have chosen Peter to take our place as leaders, while supporting and mentoring him along the way. We believe God’s anointing is upon him for this calling, and that the Center will be blessed and prosper through his willing obedience to carry on the ministry here.
