Throughout May, Pacific Clinics hosted numerous wellness fairs and events to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month, promoting well-being and self-care in communities across California.

In celebration of Foster Care Awareness Month, resource parents Arnicca and Juana talk about their “open home and open door” policy for the 11 teens and preteens they have fostered and their life paths that inspired them to become resource parents.

One hundred and fifty students attended this youth summit, hosted by Pacific Clinics' Asian Pacific Family Center (APFC), which featured live performances, educational breakout sessions, and arts and crafts for Mental Health Awareness and Asian-American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Months. Additionally, a fifteen-year-old poet gave an inspirational keynote highlighting the importance of rejecting temporary highs and quick fixes.

During the largest mental health and substance use treatment conference, Pacific Clinics’ Director of Data Analytics and Innovation Kristopher Stevens presented on how we utilize artificial intelligence to pinpoint substance use risk, while Addiction Psychiatrist Grace Juarez presented on our agencywide naloxone training and distribution initiative.

Pacific Clinics’ School-Based Intervention Team has been honored with the Bold Steps for Children Award by Kids in Common at the Santa Clara County Children’s Summit.
