Things to Know Before You Go

The Winter Slide gets underway Monday, January 24 with paid warm ups. The first section of classes starts Thursday, January 27 at 8 am in the Hardy Murphy Coliseum:

Here are a few things to keep you in the know:

• The paid warm ups list is posted here. Please note this is a working schedule and there may be changes. Show management has worked to accommodate all requests though there may be schedule adjustments each day. We appreciate professionals working together to maximize ride time.
• Avoid late fees! Entries for the Axtell Open Derby and Markel Insurance Novice Horse Open Derby are due Thursday, January 27 by noon. Entries for the Axtell Non Pro Derby, Markel Insurance Novice Horse Non Pro Derby and Red River Vet and Repro Non Pro Challenge are due by noon on Friday, January 28.
• Circuit stall move in begins Wednesday, January 26. Early move in on Monday and/or Tuesday is $20 per night. If you haven't already, please submit this stalling form.
• Don't forget to renew SWRHA and OKRHA memberships at the show so your points will count for year-end awards. Get it done now and you're set for the year!
• Attention NRHyA members: There will be a meeting after the youth classes on Friday, January 28. NRHA Professional Ann Salmon Anderman will provide tips to improve your runs, explain penalties and maneuver evaluations, and give insights about becoming a judge. Plus there's pizza! • Review the Winter Slide show conditions for more information.
• Traci Davenport Photography will be on hand to capture all the great moments from the Winter Slide. Exhibitors will be emailed their photo proofs during drags!
