New Summer Menu
This Thursday, sees the launch of our new summer menu. We have some fabulous new dishes coming your way, reflecting a lighter style for the summer. Check out more details below.
Plus, this is the last chance to book on our Eurovision themed food, drink and music quiz on Friday at Lunyalita. We have two tables left for this, for what will undoubtedly be a really good, fun night.
If you are planning to come in to Liverpool during Eurovision week, we would urge you to book. We are expecting to be very busy!
Further on, you can read about our May and June quizzes (always last Friday of the month at Lunyalita) and with themed music rounds, plus, as summer is (allegedly) just around the corner, we have our great value summer BBQ packs available to order online for delivery or collection from the deli.
Thank you again for all the wonderful support you show us. It is such a tremendously tough time for the hospitality industry (as it is for everyone), and it is this support that helps us pay the ridiculously large bills we face right now. we really do appreciate it.

New Summer Menu Launches This Week

Arroz Negro Arancini
An inventive take on an Italian classic, but using the fabulous Catalan dish of arroz negro - black rice with squid ink and calamari, in balls, deep-fried and served with allioli and crispy fried tentacles

Barcelona Bomba
A real Catalan street food treat. Looking like an old style bomb (cannon ball, style). This is a large ball of buttery mashed potatoes with a spicy Jamón centre, covered in breadcrumbs and deep-fried. It is served with spicy salsa brava & allioli.

Roasted Carrots with Whipped Feta
Baby heritage carrots, roasted with maple syrup and harissa, served on whipped feta and sprinkled with crispy Navarran chickpeas dusted with pimenton and ras al hanout spices

Cauliflower al Moro
Deep-fried cauliflower, drizzled with a Moroccan inspired sauce and pomegranate molasses, typical of the wonderful influence of the Moors in Andalucian gastronomy

Dorada (Sea Bream)
A fillet of Sea Bream, pan-fried and served on a bed of baby broad beans, peas and panceta in a light broth. A real taste of summer.

Burnt Basque Cheesecake
An absolute classic, originally created by La Viña of San Sebastian. A creamy eggy baked cheesecake with a charred crust, it is sensational and we are serving it with raisins soaked in PX sherry.

Eurovision themed Food, Drink and Music Quiz
Our quizzes are one of the most popular events we do. On Friday 28th April, at Lunyalita, we have our next quiz, where the music round is Eurovision themed. 10 Eurovision hits, played flamenco style by our resident guitarist. Plus, food and drink from across Europe to answer questions on.
If you want a fabulous night where you can dress up and sing-along, then this is for you. get a team of friends or from work together, or just come as a couple. But hurry, we have very limited capacity already - just two tales, in fact. Come and join in with the exciting Eurovision atmosphere. Full details and booking here

Spanish Food, Drink & Music Quizzes
Our food, drink and music quizzes have become legendary (at least in our minds!). Every month, an opportunity to test your food and drink knowledge and your music knowledge, too! Plus an opportunity to sing along in what is always a brilliant fun (and often raucous) night, with lots of food and drink to taste.
These are so popular and such good fun - and always a sell out. Food and drink to taste and answer questions on, plus a live music round, where 10 songs are played flamenco style and you have to guess what they are and a special sing-along, too.

Summer BBQ Packs
They have had a little break over the winter, but they're back! Our summer BBQ packs include superb Txuleton - large bone in rib steaks from ex-dairy cattle in the Basque country, chorizo burgers, mixed BBQ packs and much more. Check out all the details here. We are still running our Taste of Catalunya menu for this week. To mark our recent 13th birthday, this menu takes us back to our roots. Following a fateful visit to Barcelona in 1998 to work with the Catalan Down Syndrome Association, Peter was taken to lunch and that set the seed for Lunya many years later.
This menu reflects some of the dishes which have been so influential on us and represent some of the very best of Catalan gastronomy, including esqueixada, duck with pears. bomba, fideua negra and the famousl xuxu. As a special treat, we have Vilarnau Cava drunk straight from the Poron!

Outside Catering
Did you know that we do outside catering throughout Merseyside? From boardroom catering for work meetings to family gatherings, parties and funerals - and much more. We have a unique range of buffet and canape food (not a frozen spring roll out of a packet in sight! everything is made by us and reflects many of the dishes in our restaurant. We can do giant paellas and whole ham carving, too. In recent weeks, we have done tow funeral wakes, a birthday party, a giant paella and a business lunch. Cookalongs at home - BOOK NOW!
In lockdown and beyond, we ran a number of very popular cook-along events which were really popular and we constantly get asked to do more. So, this year, we have four for you. We send you all the ingredients to make an iconic dish and then you log in to our Facebook Live Video and Peter show you how to cook the dish. We do it all together and have a blast. Charity Fundraising
I am cycling from London to Paris in September to raise money for Myeloma UK who are dedicated to finding a cure for Myeloma, the blood cancer which Elaine has.
Now I take my own health seriously (for the first time at 59 – better late than never), I am fit enough and light enough (having got Diabetes into remission and lost 8+ stone now!) to take this challenge on.
Anyone who would like to support us, we have a Just Giving page and are trying to raise £10,000 through this bike ride. Thank you for anything you can give.
