Decade+ Volunteer Jerry Knight in Palau
2016- Jerry & Calista Knight Outside Beachfront Home in Palau
Surveyor and Pacific Islands Cultural Expert Jerry Knight Began Sharing Expertise with KnowledgeWell Over a Decade Ago

2006- Jerry Knight (R) shares expertise @ KnowledgeWell Pacific Leadership Forum in Palau
Jerry Knight along with Jon Abrams and Ron Perry served as KnowledgeWell's prelaunch advisors in 2005. In 2006, Knight participated in KnowledgeWell's first Pacific Leadership Forum in Palau where he affirmed that delivering expertise to the Pacific created more value than giving money.

In 2016, KnowledgeWell volunteers looked up Jerry and his wife Calista while in Palau. The Knights are retired at their ocean front home which features views most can only imagine. Knight works hard battling the shoreline erosion by moving wheelbarrow loads of sand back to the beach. The picture of good health, his motto is "you have to keep moving."

Knight began his survey career in 1958 with USGS, then worked for BLM in 1959 until retirement in 1994. He began working in Chuuk FSM on a 6-month detail from BLM in 1970. From then until retirement he consulted in Palau on behalf of BLM and has been a registered Land Surveyor in Arizona since 1979. In addition to his volunteer work with KnowledgeWell, Knight continues to work in Palau and Pohnpei as a paid consultant and as a volunteer. He continues consulting on water and lake boundaries issues in the USA.

Guam: GPS- Great Palauan Students 4 Years Later
The "GPS" with Perry Paul-  All Trained in North Carolina
Students that studied in NC in 2012

The GPS (Great Palauan Students- 14 hour days M-Sat with no absences) studied in North Carolina under a transportation technologies "boot camp" program created by KnoweldgeWell and supported by CSR partner McKim & Creed and GSR (Governemnt Social Responsibility) partner NC DOT in 2012. KnowledgeWell oversaw the initiative which took 5 unemployed college grads and delivered new careers following their learning experience in NC.  At the conclusion, Suzan Rideb stated,  "I trusted KnowledgeWell with my life, literally, and now I have a career I could not have dreamed of before."  Furthermore, the trained students went on to deliver over $5M in economic development returns and increased the quality of life for citizens of Guam during their first set of projects on the (FHWA) funded highway initiative on Guam.

Now, four years later, all in above photo are still working and living on Guam- 80% still in the private sector Transportation (ENI) careers KnowledgeWell delivered.

2017 marks the next KnowledgeWell Student learning experience for Pacific Islanders in the mainland.
