The last FREE Bunker Hill Neighborhood Association Summer Concert is THIS FRIDAY, August 19th.  Invite all your neighbors, friends, and relatives for some fun.

The Red Hots Trio closes out this year's Bunker Hill Neighborhood Association's FREE summer concert series at Schofield Park on FRIDAY, August 19th! They will treat you to a fabulous mix of blues, jazz & rockabilly.

Bring a pic-a-nic basket & a blanket or chairs for your comfort and you might include some bug spray in case the mosquitoes and nats are out.  There are no food trucks at this year's shows.

Bring a non-perishable food item to help support a local food ministry if you're able.

Rain date is the following Friday, August 26th. Call the hotline any time after noon on the day to check the concert status for that evening: 203-518-4302.

  • PLEASE NOTE: no alcohol or glass containers are allowed at the park per local regulations.

These concerts are sponsored by the Waterbury Arts and Tourism Commission, the Bunker Hill Neighborhood Association, and Firehorse Productions. Aside from the generous donation from the Waterbury Arts and Tourism Commission, the concerts are presented for Bunker Hill neighbors and all of Waterbury through Bunker Hill families paying yearly dues. We are currently in a dues drive. If you haven't received a mailing, please reach out to us by email at BHNAMembership@gmail.com. Include your name, address, phone numbers, email addresses and we will send you a dues application. Mailing to all of Bunker Hill is cost prohibitive. So we are sorry if we missed you.  But we can rectify that easily.

Sincerely,

A Note from our past President, Bob DeVito...

I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for your attendance at our BHNA meetings, our concerts, our visit with Santa, and Christmas Tree Lighting.  I also wanted to thank all of you for your support during my Presidency of the BHNA.  I put 110% in to make Bunker Hill a little bit better.  I want to thank the Waterbury delegation for the Citation from the General Assembly recognizing my work here.  I was truly surprised and shocked.  The presentation at the last concert by Sen. Joan Hartley, Rep. Ron Napoli Jr., Alderman President Paul Pernerewski, Alderman Michael Salvio, and Rep. Michael Digiovancarlo made my year.  So thank you to all of them, and to the other Senators and Representatives who brought the motion to the floor of the General Assembly who couldn't be at the concert that evening.    As most of you have heard, I will be relocating to North Carolina in the next few months.  The new target date is the middle to end of September.  So much to do, so little time.  After living in a house for 11 years, you find you have lots of stuff.  So it's been a bit of a long goodbye.  I will miss all of you and I will miss making Bunker Hill a bit better than it was.  You are in good hands with the new President, Bob Dorr, and our Executive Board and Board Members.  I encourage you to come to the monthly meetings.  The next monthly meeting should be on the third Thursday, September 15th at 7 PM.  Stay tuned for updates in case President Dorr makes changes.

If you'd like to stay in touch, use devitobobm@gmail.com as your email address. I'd love to hear what is happening in the neighborhood.

Warmly,

Bob DeVito

Sincerely,
