This week we will be wrapping up Chill on the Hill for the season and hope you all enjoyed this year's line up. Even though we are only in July, planning for all of next year's events will be starting soon.

Summer Fest is also right around the corner. Festivities include a concert, fireworks, parade, and other activities. Invite your friends, family, and neighbors to attend.

You may have also seen our posts on social media about our new Mission and Vision Statements as well as a new tagline. These were done in conjunction with our rebranding process and feel that they capture the essence of what we're trying to accomplish as a Chamber of Commerce. Our new tagline was included at the top of this newsletter under our logo.

Your insights and feedback are valuable in our continued efforts in planning and advocacy efforts on your behalf. If you have any questions, suggestions, or particular requests concerning your membership with the Chamber, we encourage you to reach out.

The Greater Des Moines Partnership and its 23 Affiliate Chambers of Commerce invite you to Chamber Night at the Iowa Cubs, which includes a pre-game tailgate and Iowa Cubs baseball game, on Tuesday, July 23. Chamber Members can purchase tickets for $3. The tailgate starts at 4:30 p.m., where you can network with fellow Chamber members and enjoy complimentary brats, hot dogs, chips, dessert, and soda. The game begins at 6:38 p.m. with general admission seating. Bring your Chamber colleagues for an evening of fun and networking. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect and cheer on the Iowa Cubs!

The office will be closing at 3 PM on Tuesdays during the summer.

You're employees are also a member of our Chamber and can receive our newsletter. This a great way for them to stay informed about what's happening in our organization. They can be added to the list a couple of ways:

• email our Executive Director with their name and email
• Sign up through our website

Starting in August, you will receive an email with instructions on how you can log onto the new member portal on our website.

This tool will allow you to update your directory information, pay invoices and more.

Once we get things rolling, we would love to hear from you about what other things you would like to see included in the portal.

This year's Summer Fest will be held over two days.

Registration for the parade is now on our website and are due by 10 AM July 25th. Your business or organization does not have to be a part of the chamber to participate in our parade.

YPEP was formed in March 2023 as a way to connect young professionals in our region.
