Statewide Landlord Advocacy Project Coming to an End

We regret to announce the end of the statewide Landlord Advocacy Project effective June 30, 2024, due to a lack of funding. We want to express our gratitude to all our community leaders, clients, and volunteers who have supported us in building this program from the ground up. Despite this setback, we are proud to continue our mission of assisting low-income landlords in the Boston area through the Volunteer Lawyers Project. As a landlord, you can still seek legal advice by walking into our Eastern Housing Court Clinic in Boston. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve this population and help them find justice in the face of adversity.

Continuing Legal Support for Low-income Landlords

Even though the primary program is ending, volunteer lawyers and law students can still sign up at the Lawyer for the Day clinics to assist low-income landlords. This is a great opportunity to continue showing your support for this niche population and making a difference in their lives. Select your Housing court below and sign up today!

Corrections

A section in our Landlord Spring 2024 newsletter edition circulated on May 20, 2024 titled Championing Small Landlords: A Win-Win Partnership has an incorrect spelling to SPOA's Vice President's Amir Shahsavari. The correct spelling of his last name is Shahsavari.
