Robert M. La Follette High School is a special place. We have a
vision for Madison's graduates
that sets high expectations for our Lancers. We believe in our students, and will never give up until every one of our Lancers is successful. At La Follette, we have a "Theory of Action" that describes how we prepare all of our students for success after graduation:
If all staff commit to disrupting inequities through culturally and linguistically responsive instructional practices by purposefully collaborating on
-
supporting students' close reading of relevant, engaging texts with scaffolding for language growth and collaborative critical thinking
-
measuring and reflecting on the impact of adult actions on equitable student engagement and learning
then we will close gaps in achievement, and all students will be critical thinkers, readers, and writers, who are confident and ready to succeed in college, career, and community.
