Whether you're looking for a pumpkin carving contest, some festive ambiance, or a haunted house that will scare your socks off, we've made a list of businesses doing something special for this spooky season.

This spooky season we will be hosting a photo contest! Submit your favorite fall photos around the neighborhood, from changing leaves to pups in their spookiest costume, by using the hashtag #SpookyLakeview on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram from now until October 31st!

On October 21st, DIFFA Chicago is hosting its fifth annual exhibition and art auction, Art for Life Chicago (Link: https://e.givesmart.com/events/hUE/i/). The livestream event gets underway at 7:00 PM. This dynamic virtual exhibit showcases 70 fine works celebrating art, and the voices of emerging and notable artists who are making a mark in today’s cultural landscape. Funds raised will benefit those living with and vulnerable to HIV/AIDS in the Chicagoland area.

What's on in the Belmont Theater District?
Just minutes from downtown in Chicago's Lakeview and Lakeview East neighborhoods, the Belmont Theater District is home to more than 50 theaters and hundreds of shops and restaurants within a short walking distance.

Amidst recent suspension of group gatherings and, thus, live performances, many Belmont District Theaters have opted into providing digital, remote and streaming programming for patrons to enjoy from the comfort of their own homes.

Howard Brown Health announced a multi-year expansion plan to better serve its current and future patients. As Chicago’s premier LGBTQ nonprofit healthcare organization, this expansion would extend critical, high quality health and wellness programs to up to 15,000 additional patients per year. Plans include the development of a new and larger Broadway Youth Center to better serve LGBTQ youth; a new clinic on North Halsted to relocate the existing practice in Boystown; and a new clinic-anchored community center serving South Side LGBTQ residents.
