International Women's Day Event
On Wednesday, March 8th, BottlesUp! is hosting an International Women's Day event that celebrates women! There will be a wine tasting + Girl Scout Cookie pairing, snacks, sangria, shopping, tarot readings, chair massages, and so much more! Come by to celebrate, cheers, network, and make new friends!
The party starts at 7 pm, and tickets are on sale now for just $15!

March 11th is easily going to be one of the craziest days of the year! The Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade starts at 12:30 pm downtown, but you can pregame or celebrate all day locally!
We have over 20 parties happening in the area, and tickets to all of them are on sale now! Eat, drink, and be lucky.

Latte Art Throw-Down
Ready... set...latte! Pedestrian Coffee (939 W Belmont) is hosting a latte art throw-down tomorrow night! Baristas from all over Chicago are invited to go head-to-head on pouring their best latte art. The winner is chosen between 3 judges and moves on to the next round in this bracket-style competition.
Devil Dawgs will be there providing hotdogs, and Whiner beer will be bringing the beer!
The event starts at 7 pm and goes until 11 pm. It is a $10 buy-in to compete.

In Memoriam: John Chandler
It was recently announced that John Chandler, owner of Bookman's Corner, passed on November 14th, 2022. He opened the shop in the 70s and countless readers have been in and out, some for books, but some just to converse with John. John was a staple in the community and his love for books will carry on in all his loyal customers. .

Start planning now for the summer kick off festival that's taken over Sheffield for nearly four decades! The Belmont Sheffield Music Fest this year will be filled with amazing music, incredible performers, local artists, and delicious local treats.

We Welcome a New Alderman
This past Tuesday, Bennett Lawson, won the race to replace Tom Tunney as the 44th Ward Alderman!
Lawson is a lifelong public servant, having served the people of the 44th Ward as Chief of Staff to Alderman Tom Tunney for nearly 15 years. "For nearly two decades, Bennett has been an invaluable asset to this ward as he has tirelessly advocated for its residents
and businesses alike, offering pragmatic solutions and meeting constituent needs,” Tunney said.
Tunney is set to retire in May, and Lawson will then be taking over.

Each police district is divided in beats, and each beat has a team of beat officers assigned to it. Police representatives from these teams and local community leaders conduct the CAPS meetings.
