May 2: Healthcare Network Group Meeting

Our Healthcare Network Group met recently at Sunrise Senior Living West Bloomfield! A big thank you to our gracious hosts, Executive Director, Karen Pleaugh and Director of Sales, Annette Rogers, for their warm hospitality. The breakfast spread was delightful, and the raffle basket prize was a hit!


It was inspiring to hear about the exciting plans for the facility’s future. Our members enjoyed networking and sharing valuable insights with one another.


Remember, our Healthcare Network Group meets on the first Thursday of each month at various locations. These gatherings are a great opportunity for LACC healthcare-related businesses to network and gain new knowledge.

May 3: 1st Friday Coffee Connect

We kicked off the weekend with some fantastic networking among LACC members at the May 3 1st Friday Coffee Connect. A huge shoutout to our amazing hosts, Branch Manager, Marjorie Rieckhoff and Community Relations Specialist, Jolene Plotzke, of Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union, for the warm welcome and the delectable breakfast spread including Scooter's Coffee. Thanks for the gift cards for the business card raffle too!.


A special round of applause for our very own board member, Marjorie Rieckhoff, aka The Friendly Banker, who received numerous accolades for her exceptional work during our circle introductions.

May 7: Spotlight Lunch

Even with a cozy crowd, our Spotlight Lunch was a deep dive into the heart of our industries! We had the pleasure of learning from the master of burgers and custards, Brent Bridgewater, owner of Culver's Commerce Township, about his flavorful journey in the food world.


A huge shoutout to everyone who came to chew the fat (literally and figuratively!) and support our local gem. Your presence added the special sauce to our gathering!


Special thanks to Brent and his superstar team for the top-notch service and the scrumptious raffle basket prize. It was the cherry on top of a delightful afternoon!

May 9: Saroki's White Lake Ribbon Cutting

We’re still buzzing from the fantastic ribbon-cutting event at Saroki's Crispy Chicken & Pizza White Lake! A big shout-out to the family behind the magic – they truly had all hands on deck!


Members and neighbors, your warmth and cheers were the perfect welcome to Saroki’s new home. A heartfelt thanks to the WHITE LAKE TWP Supervisor Rik Kowall and their amazing team for their continued support of White Lake businesses.


Great food and some great giveaways abound. Lots of smiles on all the mom's faces in attendance who received a long stem rose – an early Mother’s Day gift that made the day even more special.

We had a purr-fect morning at MeowWoof Boutique LLC for our 3rd Thursday Coffee Connect! A huge tail wag to our fabulous host, Megan Carter, for the delightful breakfast spread that had all tails wagging.

May 22: ArtLazar Gallery Ribbon Cutting

On a beautiful day in Walled Lake, members gathered at the stunning ArtLazar Gallery to celebrate its official ribbon cutting! Huge thanks to Owner, Arthur Lazaryan, for treating everyone to a delightful lunch and dessert as they explored the gallery. The lucky winner, Wendy Wills, snagged a gorgeous piece of art personally selected by Arthur himself!

Members had the chance to chat with Arthur about his artistic journey, from humble beginnings to global exhibitions.


Shoutout to the City of Walled Lake for joining in the celebration and welcoming this new art hub! Assistant City Manager, Hana Jaquays, shared a few words, and special guest Dr. Ajay Raman - Oakland County Commissioner, District 14 also welcomed everyone.

May 23: Women of Wisdom WOW Luncheon

Our recent Women of Wisdom (WOW) Luncheon The Women of Wisdom (WOW) event was an incredible gathering where determination, fortitude, authenticity, and passion intersected. Each speaker shared their unique journey, leaving us inspired and uplifted. The camaraderie among fellow women was palpable, reinforcing the power of community. As we celebrated resilience, we also celebrated the remarkable women who shape our community.

Patio Party Recap: A Memorable Evening at CJ's Brewing Company - Commerce Twp with our friends from the Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce!


Assistant General Manager Tyson Foerster and his team went above and beyond, treating us to an array of mouthwatering appetizers. From savory bites to delightful treats, our taste buds were thoroughly satisfied!


Michigan-made alcohol vendor, Gypsy Spirits, was on hand to offer tastings of their specialty drinks. Members enjoyed sipping on these unique concoctions while mingling and networking.


CJ’s Brewing Company’s newly revamped patio provided the perfect backdrop for our gathering. The hard work put into preparing the outdoor space was evident—it was a lovely summer evening!

The Inspired Acting Company is thrilled to announce its second season, featuring a dynamic mix of plays and a musical that promises to captivate audiences and continue the momentum built during its successful inaugural season. Following five critically acclaimed productions, and soon to open the powerful musical It's Only Life this July, the company is set to deliver another year of thought-provoking, entertaining, and diverse theatrical experiences.
