Dear Windermere Prep Community,

I am delighted to write to you as we find ourselves amid the hustle and bustle of graduation season for the 2024-2025 school year. It brings me immense joy to reflect on the remarkable journey we've shared as the Class of 2024 completes their final weeks at WPS. From the very beginning, we all set out to leave a legacy, and I am proud to say that each and every member of this senior class has done just that. In addition, I want to extend my personal thanks to every single member of the community for their role—however big or small, however public or quiet—in contributing to the success of Windermere Preparatory School and our Lakers.

For the Class of 2024, recent weeks have been marked by unforgettable moments, from the heartwarming Senior Sunset where we reminisced and cherished our shared memories to the camaraderie and excitement of events like our Leaving a Legacy celebration. These events have not only brought us closer together as a community, but also reinforced the bonds of friendship and unitas that define Windermere Preparatory School.

As we approach the pinnacle of our senior year, we look forward to continuing to celebrate the Class of 2024 as we come together for the Senior Breakfast and walk-out tomorrow morning. The senior walkout is an especially spectacular event as we invite our entire student community and senior families to send our Lakers off in Unitas one last time.

But our journey doesn't end there. With just a few weeks left until graduation on May 24th, our seniors will have one final opportunity to soak in the memories of this beautiful campus and vibrant community during the Walk Down Laker Lane on May 18th. It's a chance for every family of a graduating Laker to relive the moments that have shaped us and rejoice in the connections we've forged. At this event, all students will also be able to collect everything they need for the upcoming graduation week.

As I reflect on the incredible events we've experienced together, I am reminded of the true essence of Windermere Prep—Virtus, Veritas, Unitas. It is in these core values that our community finds its strength, its spirit, and its unwavering commitment to excellence.

If you are a student, congratulate our seniors as they soak up the WPS campus one more time. As families, think forward to the incredible journey your young ones have ahead. As faculty, we will continue to work collaboratively to give everyone the best we have to offer.

With warmest regards as each member of our Class of 2024 Graduates Like A Laker,

Steve Murphy

Director of High School
