The time has come to start thinking about 4K for the 2023-2024 school year! 4K Registration is now open. ✨𝓝𝓮𝔀! ✨ Starting Fall 2023, you can enroll your 4K student in a full-day or morning half-day program at Lake Geneva Schools.

Badger High School Technology Education Department Recognized as a Program of Excellence

The Badger High School Technology Education Department will receive a prestigious “Program Excellence Award,” sponsored by the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEAA). The award is among the highest honors given to technology and engineering programs. It is presented in recognition of outstanding contributions to the profession and students in superior K-12 technology and engineering education programs around the world. 

4K - 5th Grade Family Science Night

All 4K-5th grade students* and their families are invited to participate in Family Science Night on Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at Lake Geneva Middle School! * All students must be accompanied by an adult.

Star Center Elementary School

Mrs. Arnas's 1st graders practiced their sight words in shaving cream, and Mrs. Barnes's 5th graders created electrical circuits with squishy circuits.

Joint #1 School Board Award

April James, a Health Aide at Central-Denison Elementary School, was presented a Results Plus Award at the Lake Geneva Joint #1 Board meeting on January 10, 2023. Beth Hirschmann, a first-grade teacher, nominated April for the extraordinary care she provides students. April goes above and beyond each day, ensuring students have a positive outlook on school.

Eastview Elementary School

5th-grade students at Eastview Elementary School are working with plaster to make cool masks!

Southern Lakes Advanced Learners Network Math Meet

Congratulations to our 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade teams who participated in the Southern Lakes Advanced Learners Network math meet. The students participated in two hours of math competition, including solving mental math equations, math story problems, and math equations. We will find out the results from ALL of the meets in a few weeks.

Central-Denison Elementary School

Third Grade classes enjoy walking classrooms! In January, students listened to a podcast about the poet Jack Prelutsky while they walked. As a child, Prelutsky did not like poetry, but now he has published hundreds of poems. He uses a lot of figurative language, such as personification and alliteration. The students read several of his poems as well. The students were motivated by some of his made-up characters, like the umbrella plant. So, they also created some silly new characters of their own to use in their fiction writing.

Lake Geneva Middle School

On Wednesday, November 16th, the Lake Geneva Chapter of the Lyric Opera of Chicago (LGLOC) took Lake Geneva Middle School’s (LGMS) music students to Chicago to see a live opera.

This is the sixth year that LGLOC has provided LGMS with this opportunity. The entire experience for each student/chaperone/teacher, including transportation, the opera tickets, and a food stipend, was funded by LGLOC. It was a great experience for the students to ride the train, visit Chicago, view the architecture, and hear a world-class performance. 

4th - 8th Grade Spelling Bee

The 4th - 8th Grade Spelling Bee will take place on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Lake Geneva Middle School. Parents are welcome to attend.

Badger High School

Badger FCCLA conducted a Road Safety Assessment (RSA) to assess safety between the high school and middle school. The FCCLA members recorded information about vehicles’ speed, drivers’ attentiveness, and drivers and passengers wearing seat belts.
