Badger Community Education
Badger Wall of Success
The 2019 induction on the Badger High School Wall of Success will be Deb Harris Krezel, Badger High School Class of 1976. The Wall of Success program honors outstanding graduates of Badger High School, Genoa City High School and Lake Geneva High School. By honoring distinguished graduates, the Wall of Success Committee seeks to identify and recognize models of success for current students to admire and emulate. The program demonstrates to students, the relationship between the education that they receive at Badger High School today and their success in life tomorrow.

Harris Krezel is a mom, grandma, business owner and martial artist. Her journey since her Badger graduation has been both challenging and exciting. She received her bachelor’s degree from UW-Green Bay where she was a member of Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society and recipient of the Chancellor’s Leadership Award.
LGMS Above & Beyond
On Wednesday, March 13 the Lake Geneva Middle School Counseling Department had the distinct honor of celebrating 73 outstanding students at our Above & Beyond Ceremony. This prestigious award is designed to showcase our outstanding students that go above and beyond our everyday expectations. Students that overcome challenges, exceed typical performance, display perseverance, consistently stay positive, and support others are some examples of the caliber of our nominees. Congratulations to all the amazing students we have here at Lake Geneva Middle School.
Central-Denison Students Participate in Spring Break Reading Challenge
Star Center Elementary First Grade Students Participate in Running Start Reading Program
Throughout the months of March and April, first grade students at Star Center are participating in Running Start.

What is Running Start?
⭐️ 20+ year old reading program at Star Center
⭐️ Gives first graders an opportunity to become fluent readers by the end of first grade
⭐️ Began Friday, March 1st
⭐️ Each first grader is challenged to read 35 books
⭐️ Ends Friday, April 26th with a celebration!

How does it work?
⭐️ Each child keeps track of the books he/she reads at home. Parents fill out a slip and return it to school with the book information
⭐️ Each slip earns the child one sticker for their Running Start shoe until he/she reaches the goal of 35
⭐️ Students also read with 4th grade peers on Friday afternoons to help them reach their goal

Keep up the great reading first graders!
In order to provide adequate instructional time for our lost cold and snow days, we have modified the current school calendar in the following manner:

  • Monday, April 22nd will now be a full day of instruction for all students grades 4K - 12 (formerly off on this day)
  • March 14th, April 11th, May 9th will now be full days of instruction for all students grades 4K - 12 (formerly late start/early release days)
Science at LGMS Rocks!
LGMS Students are continuing to study the unit on rocks and minerals. In lab, students have been analyzing rock and mineral samples and learning about the rock cycle. Recently, the students worked together and played "old school" Earth and Ocean games during class. There was so much fun and excitement while they explored topics such as ecology, oceanography, plates tectonics, natural resources, geology and more.

Practicing good digital citizenship is essential to being a responsible member of the online community. Click on the links below for a helpful review of many of the websites and digital apps that are popular with young people.
