Joint #1 A 5 Star District
We are proud to report that The Lake Geneva Joint #1 School District’s schools have earned a five-star rating, the State’s highest achievement mark, based on the 2017-2018 Wisconsin Student Assessment System (WSAS) results. We couldn’t be more proud of the accomplishments of our schools and the success our students displayed on this assessment.

A huge shout out goes to our excellent teaching staff who prepare our students for academic success each and every day. Our staff continually goes above and beyond to help our students academically, socially and emotionally as they help to develop the “whole child”. Our teachers also make sure they grow professionally by advancing their own education as almost 80% of our staff have Master’s degrees or above.

We certainly are proud of the achievement of our students and the support provided by their families. This distinction is truly a product of all of us working together toward a common goal, that being what is in the best interests of our students and your children.

Our district has provided optimal class size (18 in grades K-3 and an average of 21 grades 4-8) to help us in achieving this success. Couple our optimal class size with quality, internal professional development that focuses on best practices in our core instruction and you have the makings of the fine education and results as demonstrated by our students on this assessment.

Congratulations to our students, staff, parents and all those who helped us achieve this distinguished five-star rating!

Badger FFA Helps Local Food Pantries Stock Up on Dairy
Badger High School FFA participated in the #10gallonchallenge to promote the dairy industry and help local food pantries this holiday season. They worked with Stinebrink's Lake Geneva Piggly Wiggly to go shopping for over 180 pounds of milk, cheese, butter, and yogurt to donate to our local food pantries - Walworth County Food Pantry and Lake Geneva Food Pantry.
Thank you to Thrivent for providing providing the Badger FFA with funding to serve as an action team and assist them in helping the local community.

3rd Graders Help Provide Toys for Children in Need
Every year Mrs. Kry’s 3rd grade class at Central-Denison Elementary School has a bake sale for Toys for Tots. They sell goodies to the other third grade classes. This year they made $273! The following evening the children and their parents headed to Walmart with Mrs. Kry to buy gifts for Toys For Tots. The next day, the class walked to the Lake Geneva Library to drop off the gifts in the Toys For Tots Bin. Retired Marine Stuart Sizemore met the children and thanked them for filling the bin! Wonderful job students!
