The Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Centre would like to welcome Tourism Cowichan for Tourism Tuesday on March 19, 2024 between 9:30 am-1:30 pm . Pop by the Visitor Centre to meet in-person with Kenzie Knight, Coordinator for Tourism Cowichan to discuss the range of support available to Cowichan tourism stakeholders.
You can book a 30-minute time slot with Kenzie in advance by emailing kenzie@forvi.ca or just pop in for a conversation!
This is also an opportunity to have a conversation with Roberta or Jacquie about how your business can be represented in the Ladysmith Visitor Centre. Pick up maps, guides, brochures so you can better represent Ladysmith in your business.

This year the Nanaimo Chamber celebrates their 14th annual Business Expo and plan to take over Vancouver Island Conference Centre once again, with approximately 100 exhibitors representing businesses throughout the mid-island region.
•Date: Thursday, March 28th, 2024

•Location: Vancouver Island Conference Centre
This event has been designed to serve as a vibrant platform for businesses across the Mid-Island to showcase their innovations, connect with potential clients and partners, and explore the latest trends shaping our industry.

Securing Small Business Rebate | |
Recognizing the increased costs to businesses due to property crime and vandalism in rural and urban communities across the province, the Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation has launched its $10.5 million Securing Small Business Rebate Program, which will provide small businesses with funds for eligible commercial property crime and vandalism repairs, or to implement eligible preventative measures.

BC Chamber of Commerce Statement on Budget 2024 | |
Last week in Victoria, representatives from the BC Chamber of Commerce attended the Ministry of Finance’s budget lock-up to get an early glimpse at Budget 2024. While government unveiled positive changes to the Employer Health Tax and are providing a one-time rebate on electricity bills to benefit BC businesses, the continued deficit spending and rapidly increasing debt over the fiscal plan causes the BC Chamber of Commerce some concerns.
