RYSS senior Alexis Nunez has once again demonstrated her exceptional talent by securing a victory at the State competition for the second consecutive year. Competing in Division 4, which is reserved for students with four years of art experience or those in AP Art, Alexis has proven her prowess in the most challenging division. Her dedication and skill have placed her among the top 5% of student artists in Texas, earning her a prestigious Gold Seal.

Alexis’s award-winning artwork will be showcased on a tour across Texas before returning to grace the halls of RYSS Early College. This is a proud moment for our community, and we encourage everyone to join us in celebrating Alexis's remarkable achievements.

Success at the Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony!

The ribbon-cutting and grand opening event for La Tiendita in Pasadena was a resounding success, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of community leaders and local residents.

La Tiendita is now ready to serve the community by providing essential food assistance and a range of other services from our new location at 1062 Fairmont Parkway in Pasadena. We are excited to see the positive impact La Tiendita will have in supporting those in need within our community.

We thank our strategic partners, Houston Food Bank and the American Heart Association, and our donors, Reliant, an NRG company and Houston Methodist.

Mark your calendar for the final RYSS Early College School Market food distribution for the school year. Help us spread the word to families in need of food assistance. This food distribution event is made possible by our partners at the Houston Food Bank and our RYSS Early College students.

Walk-up line can sign in from 2 pm - 3 pm. Cars for the drive-through can begin to line up at 4:15 pm at the entrance gate on Broadway. The distribution begins at 4:30 pm.
