Spend the evenings with us in nonpartisan Candidate Forums which will be co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Santa Monica and the Committee for Racial Justice.

 

September 15 - Board of Education Forum

The candidates for the SMMUSD board of education will answer questions generated by the CRJ and LWVSM memberships, followed by audience questions.


Time: 6:00-6:30 p.m., Rent Control Board & SMC Trustees "candidates" (not on ballot)

Time: 6:30-8:00 p.m., SMMUSD Board of Education Candidates

SEPTEMBER 30 - Board of Education (UPDATED)

The candidates for the SMMUSD Board of Education will answer questions submitted by members of the forum cosponsors.


Time: 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Place: SMMUSD District Board Room, District Office. SMMUSD boardroom is at 1717 4th St. Santa Monica,  CA 90401. There is public parking available in the city structure across the street and to the north. To access the boardroom, enter the district office building; the boardroom is opposite the reception desk.

LWV LA County’s excellent speaker training for Pro and Con speakers in election years, will be held on ZOOM on Saturday, September 14 from 9am to noon.

Experienced League speakers, some of whom wrote the LWVC Pros and Cons, will model a 5-minute presentation for each measure. All will be prepared to answer questions from the audience which will be selected using the Q and A function on ZOOM. "
