November 30 - Giving Tuesday During this week of gratitude and family reunions, take a moment to recall that last year’s election was among the nation’s greatest where more Republicans and Democrats voted than ever before while in the midst of a global pandemic. Then, while we held our collective breath, institutions and individuals - some more than others - stood tall ensuring the outcome of a robust, legitimate election. Fast forward to today and the Big Lie has grown tentacles into unimaginable places, endangering our proud, nearly 250 year old democracy. If you are able and so inclined, please consider making a #Giving Tuesday donation to the LWVOPRF to help continue the fight for voter’s education and rights. Checks made out to the LWV OPRF can be mailed to P.O. Great Decisions will begin new group discussions with new 2022 topics starting in February. This promises to be an exciting series of discussions about international issues exploring 8 issues over 8 sessions. Books need to be ordered now for this Spring session, so please email Alex Matthews ASAP to order your book. The topics will be Outer Space, Climate Change, Russia and the U.S., Myanmar and ASEAN, Quad Alliance, Drug Policy in Latin America, Industrial Policy, and Biden's Agenda.
