Oak Park Village Trustee Candidate Forum - Tuesday, March 26, 6:30pm Candidate check-in, 7:00pm Forum begins. Julian M.S. Auditorium, 416 S. Ridgeland, Oak Park. Free and open to the public.

Courage to Run - Sunday, April 14, 10:30am, DuSable Harbor, Chicago. Run or walk a 5K to celebrate and encourage the rising wave of women running for office. Go here to register.
Committee Chairs Needed
This years Nominating Committee has been hard at work talking to members about filling openings for the 2019-2020 Board. Children and Youth, Observers, and the 2020 Nominating Committees still need chairs. Please consider stepping forward to volunteer.  Need more information on the responsibilities and time commitment? Advocacy Days
Cabrini Green Legal Aid, in partnership with other community groups will be traveling to Springfield to lobby legislators for several bills related to criminal justice reform and employment/housing opportunities. On April 3, advocates will take a bus down to Springfield while on April 9 and 10, they will taking the train down to Springfield.  Contact Beth Johnson for more information on how to join these groups in their important work.
Over 60 people attended each of our March 19 and 20 Candidate Forums.
