Village Board Meeting - Monday, February 10, 7:00pm, Oak Park Village Hall, 123 Madison, Oak Park. Attend and support our Environmental Committee's work on getting single use plastic straws and styrofoam containers banned in Village restaurants.

Second Tuesday  - Tuesday, February 11, 9:30-11:00am, Nineteenth Century C.A., 178 Forest Ave., Oak Park.  Meet Kelly Kleiman, Chair of the LWV Cook County H.A.R.D. Voter Registration - Thursday, February 13, 11:00am-1:00pm, Dominican University, 7900 Division, River Forest. Two Deputy Registrars are needed for this time slot. Go here to sign up. This will be our last registration event for the primary season. Contact Peggy Kell with any questions.

Census 2020:What you need to know - Sunday, February 16, 2:00-3:30pm, River Forest Library, 735 Lathrop, River Forest.  LWV IL issue specialists Hilary Denk and Siobhan Greene will discuss the importance of the Census and lead an interactive workshop on participation. Illinois Voter's Guide - LWV IL Voter's Guide is now active.  The guide allows voters to access the bio and website of all the 2020 candidates across the state. Voters can also create their own ballot, sign up for voting reminders, find their polling place and register to vote, if necessary. Share the Voter's Guide Link with everyone you know because our mission is to educate citizens to become informed voters. We need all members to help achieve this mission!

LWV OPRF is joining the LaGrange League in attending the final performance of  ''ROE'' at the Goodman Theatre on Sunday, February 23rd at 
2:oopm. Tickets are available for a limited time at $35 for main floor seats.  Go to the Goodman website and enter the code ''LWV23'' after selecting the February 23rd date.  Click on the 2:00pm time of the performance to select seats.  Note that once you select that performance, you will need to select the "Main Floor" tab and the available seats will show up in blue. This offer ends Friday, then the seats will be open to the public. If you have any difficulties, call the box office at (312)443-3800.
