In 2021, JNESO filed a grievance regarding management’s decision to require RNs in certain units to have a ‘flex” shift. While the arbitrator decided in JNESO’s favor, management appealed that decision.

Late last week, JNESO was notified the union won that appeal. Management cannot require the affected employees to switch from their regular assigned shift to a “flex” shift. Management is also required to reinstate any members who quit because of this change.
