Aquatic Invasive Species Program

For any questions related to IPP workshops, registration, or the aquatic invasive species program, please email stewards@lakestewardsme.org.

Lake Stewards of Maine (LSM) visited the annual Maine Aquatic Invasive Species Summit at University of Southern Maine Lewiston-Auburn on Friday, 4/26. The event, hosted by Lakes Environmental Association (LEA) and Maine Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), featured presentations by staff members and officials from LEA, DEP, Maine Lakes, Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, and LSM.

LSM's AIS Program Director Brett Willard presented on Maine's four newly identified invasive aquatic plants and LSM's AIS volunteer initiatives, and also sat on a panel discussion about developments around aquatic invasive species issues in the State.

We are grateful to LEA and DEP for the opportunity to spread the word about LSM programs and current AIS issues in Maine, and to seeing so many supportive and friendly faces at the Summit.
