Meet our Conference Logo Artist

Clara Fernando was born and raised in Gallup NM where her father worked for the ATS&F  railroad. She comes from the tribes of the Laguna and Zuni Pueblos.

After 30 years of painting pottery, she started painting on canvas. Her love for color mixed with science and mathematics combine to portray traditional art with a modern edge.

She finds importance in recognizing her ancestors knowledge of science and mathematics in the ancient patterns developed over hundreds of years. In progressing with her company she looks forward to manifesting the concept of  being infinite in design, infinite in potential, infinite in change, infinite in education, infinite in sustainability, and infinitely indigenous.

The painting symbolizes the balance of every day life. The brilliant sunlight that fuels our thoughts and and our bodies to better health. The peacefulness of the evening sky that calms and creates a quiet space for sleep and rejuvenation.
