Match Play League - Click link to register for the League

League registration for the Sacramento Chapter 2024 Match Play League is $10.  The fee includes registration for the league and prizes.  

After you pay the League registration, sign up for the rounds, by going to GolfGenius.com and enter

GGID: 2024MATCHPLAYLEAGUE.  NOTE: All rounds are pre-pay this year.

Select your name and pick the rounds you wish to play. Two of the rounds (Lincoln Hills and Empire Ranch) can be paid at the time you register for your rounds or you can pay later using the GGID but by the deadline for each play date. These two rounds do not have a walking and riding rate. The other 3 rounds can be paid by clicking the links below after you register to play for those rounds. They have a walking and a riding rate.

This Chapter Qualifier event is to determine the 4 two-person teams our Chapter intends to send to the PWGA Legacy Team Play Area Qualifier to be held Monday, July 15 at Whitney Oaks Golf Club. Fun Play will follow the field of members qualifying.

Interested in joining our Match Play League, but unsure of the rules? Still have questions about situations that arise during Match Play? Come to this interactive class where all your questions will be answered.

During this session, Marcia Whiting our rules certified instructor will explain the format and rules of Singles, Four Ball and Foursomes. She will also demonstrate both common and unique situations which can occur at the tee, on the fairway and especially on the green.

This 9-hole league continues year round the second and fourth Monday of the month in Roseville. Contact Nancy Lyons (MondayGolf@lpgaamateurssacramento.com) if you are interested in the twice monthly play in Roseville. 

Tuesday "Days"
It's casual 18 holes and always fun!! If you are interested in golfing during the day on Tuesdays, contact Theresa Stamey at Communications@lpgaamateurssacramento.com to be added to the Tuesday group email list. No weekly commitment required.  

Thursday Afternoon/Evenings
Casual 9-Hole Play after work at Haggin Oaks, Arcade Creek and the first 9 holes of the MacKenzie course. Tee times start at 5:30pm. Contact Linda Reid (lreid@hagginoaks.com) to be added to weekly email. No weekly commitment required. After golf dinner/drinks at the MacKenzie Grille. Play begins in April and ends in September when it gets too dark to play.

Fun Friday Play at Haggin Oaks (This is open to all LPGA Amateur members)
Casual 9-Hole Fun Play on Friday mornings at Haggin Oaks. Mentors are available. Contact Linda Reid (lreid@hagginoaks.com) to be added to weekly email or to find out if this play is right for you. No weekly commitment required. Play is year-round, weather permitting.

Basic Rules - April 11
Dang it, what’s that rule again? I can’t find my ball… now what?

Attendees learned something new or something forgotten, during this session taught by Marcia Whiting, Rules Certified Tournament Official. It was the ideal class for players who got a review of the most common situations encountered during a round.  Topics included relief options from immovable obstructions, penalty areas, abnormal course conditions, and more.

On behalf of LPGA Amateurs Sacramento Chapter, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your participation in this year's Par 3 Challenge at Antelope Greens. The turnout was fantastic and everyone had such a great time! Because of your contributions to the 50/50 cash raffle, we were able to raise an additional $300 for First Tee and USGA Girls Golf, with the other $300 split between three very lucky winners!

There were two sessions on Sunday, April 21 at Haggin Oaks Academy Holes to work on our Short Game.

4th Annual Sacramento Valley Women’s Amateur (SVWA)
July 13 & 14, 2024 (Saturday & Sunday)
Hosted at the Alister Mackenzie GC at Haggin Oaks. 
 
The SVWA is designed for the “Top Women Amateur Golfers in the West”, with an Open Division and a Senior Division. The competition will be individual stroke play over 36 holes (18 holes each day) with a Gross Division only. Tee times will begin at 9:00am on July 13th and 7:00am on July 14th. The entry deadline is July 4th, 2024. To enter or for more detailed information, please click on the link below:
