Ian Beverley, LOBA President, updated us on what is happening around the lake; Judith Mills, President of the Lake of Bays Heritage Foundation (LBHF), provided a lively presentation on the foundation's achievements and goals; and Township Councillors Ruth Ross and Nancy Tapley, and District Chair John Klinck briefed us on what's happening in local government. More responses are sought for the 2017 Ontario Recreational Lakes and Algae Survey. The survey is being conducted as a partnership between Queen's University, the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change, the Muskoka Watershed Council, the Federation of Ontario Cottagers' Associations (FOCA), and Nipissing University.
