2024 Convention is completed and a great time was had..............so now it is time to think about our future conventions.....

Lions we are asking for your feedback

What would draw you to come to convention - an activity - a seminar - ???

If you attended the 2024 convention what did you like? What did you not like?

Do you have a suggestion for a location for 2026 and beyond, a game, an idea for something fun? A new way to do something??

Well we want to hear it all........but remember kindness matters!!!

If you are interested in being part of a group to start the discussion on what future conventions might look like please email Lion Diane to be put on the list for the meeting!

Lion.DianeQ@gmail.com

Our next convention location for 2025 was voted on last July and contracts signed so this one is set for the location. It is also set to be a joint 4L4-4L5 Convention as they have also signed a contact with the hotel.

A date and time for this meeting will be coming out to those that email Diane within the next week.

ITS YOUR DISTRICT YOUR VOICE MATTERS!!!!

Fellow Lions,

I am pleased to announce that Lions Day at the City of Hope is coming back! Please mark your calendars for May 19th. The event starts at 11:30 and wraps up after lunch. The event is free to all, and includes tours and lectures on the latest research from the hospital staff. If you plan to attend, you absolutely need to RSVP, or you won't be able to attend the luncheon. Please contact Cindy Robinson via email or phone. Her contact information is at the bottom of the flyer. It is also an opportunity for each club to present a cash donation to the City of Hope and receive recognition. The amount is up to each club and is voluntary. This is the first time since covid the City of Hope has put this on, so let's have a great turnout!

Earthquake Causes Devastation

LCIF grant funding will enable Lions to help victims recover and rebuild.

LIONSCLUBS.ORG/DONATE

The massive earthquake and strong aftershocks that struck south of Taipei killed at least nine people, injured more than 900 others, collapsed buildings, caused landslides and blackouts, and triggered tsunami warnings in surrounding regions. The 7.4 magnitude quake is the strongest to hit the region in 25 years.

When a humanitarian crisis of this magnitude strikes, we, as Lions, are ready to help. Right beside us is Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), our global foundation. LCIF is mobilizing funds, including a US$100,000 Major Catastrophe Grant, to empower Lions in impacted areas to help their communities recover.

Your donation can make a difference.

HELP NOW

Your generous donation to LCIF's Disaster Relief Fund, specifically reserved for all disaster relief, helps Lions continue to serve!

To learn more about LCIF Disaster Relief grants, visit lionsclubs.org/disastergrants or email LCIFGlobalGrants@lionsclubs.org.

100% of donations benefit grants and programs and qualify for Melvin Jones Fellowship (MJF) or Progressive MJF.
