Hello Lions,

This year is flying by, and we are just beginning. First, let us welcome our new Omega Leos club to our pride! The MBK Lions club split and the school staff will still be a lion’s club, the students will become the Omega Leos club. This will defray the expenses for the students. So, let’s welcome them with a big Roar!

We will be having a member orientation on Saturday September 28th see flyer below. Please be sure to RSVP to Lion Diane Quinlan. We

welcome both new and seasoned lions to this great class. This will be lead by both our district GMT Lion Scott Newton and our district GLT Lion PCC Craig Durand, so come out and have some fun and fellowship while learning interesting information.

It is that time of year again, we have received the Military bags. The cost is $5 per bag. Please, contact district secretary Lion Diane to purchase your clubs’ bags. Military Chairman Lion Kevin Young will have the flyer with the list of items soldiers are looking for to stuff the bags shortly.

ALERT, Calling all club presidents who have not submitted the YPP youth protection Appendix form? All clubs need to submit this form whether you have a Leos club or not as this is a requirement for the State of California and the Multiple District! We have collected about half of

these forms, and we need them in a timely manner. Please take action if you know this has not been completed, you can email 1st VDG Roger with your form. The DG team would like to thank the presidents in advance for helping us become compliant.

Tons of fun and great fellowship was had by all who attended the USA Canada Forum. The classes that were held were second to none. The local food was superb. If you have not been then you should check it

out next year, it will be held in Atlantic City, NJ.

Several Lions graduated from Lions University with either a Bachelors or a masters. If you have any interest give the district team a call as we can fill you in on the particulars of the event as we have attended the past few years.

Please do not forget that every month there will be a word search contained in the TheWrap just search the misplaced word and send it to thewrap email listed below. Just ask Lion Vicki Sasser who won a $15 Olive Garden Gift Card. If you are the first person to find the word and email thewrap you will win a gift card. FYI: there is only one winner per month, and you can only win once so we can spread the wealth

throughout the district.

Finally, I would like to thank everyone who came out to our district picnic and installation. I was a little too busy during the meeting and it was cleaned up so fast after the I was not able to take part in the axe throwing and split the apple off of the 1st VDG’s head, I am sure that is a relief to Lion Roger.

The next district meeting will be on November 2nd at the Chino Community Center, the flyer is below.

I would like to close by saying to always “Make your Mark” and last but not least “Lions are guiding the way to service.” I am proud to be part of L4 and your current District Governor.

Thanks, take care and stay safe.
