From Sandy Simpson
Dear Staff,
Well the ground hog has indicated that we will have an early spring....we can hope! And next week will be Valentine's Day. When I was a teacher, I really loved this holiday. In the first grade, each child had a "mailbox" on the side of their desk and each child's were overflowing with cute Valentine cards. I also used to make silhouettes of each child as gifts that they could give to their families. That was my "Valentine" to each of them and it was fun to do.
I want to thank each of our departments who have conducted reviews of their school safety plans. Many of you have also conducted safety exercises. As an organization, we are reviewing our needs and will continue to be proactive in training for all departments.
Before our Annual Meeting on April 10th, we will be holding a gathering to celebrate our 65th year of service to our communities. The Tarrytown UFSD has agreed to let us use their auditorium for this event. Each of our programs will be on display and local dignitaries will be invited. Following this celebration, our Annual Meeting will be held.
Until next time,
Sandra A. Simpson
