LIC Springs! Street Festival - 6 Blocks. 130+ Experiences. - May 18

Saturday, May 18, 12-5 p.m., Vernon Blvd., 46th-50th Ave. - LIC Springs! is a community street festival celebrating Long Island City with live music, dance and performances, plus interactive lessons, art, fitness classes, outdoor dining, pop-up activities, games and more. The event is free and open to the public.

Mother's Day in LIC

Thurs., May 9, 6:30 p.m. - Jungly hosts a special Mother's Day-themed "Paint 'n Sip" - tickets include the class, canvas, paint brushes, and a goodie bag with a wine bottle and more. Have Mother's Day brunch at Jungly with a free rosé glass for all moms and more.

Fri., May 10, All Day - Dogtopia of LIC will customize Mother's Day cards for dog moms with a print of your pup's nose for $10. Details

Sat., May 11, 11 a.m. - Two the Moon LIC presents a Mother's Day craft class with Art Spot LIC where children paint a canvas for their mom. Details

Sat., May 11, 12-4 p.m. - For Mother's Day weekend, Connected Chef honors all the mothers in our community with a fundraiser to support our single-mother families experiencing food insecurity. Details

Sat., May 11, 2-2:45 p.m. - Celebrate Mother’s Day at Art Strong with an art workshop and a professional photographer to capture special moments with you and your child(ren). Explore artmaking stations, decorate a photo frame, and make a custom backdrop. Details

Sat., May 11, 2-4 p.m. - Join Form + Flow Waterfront for a Mother’s Day flower arrangement workshop with Claudia Portto, founder of Life n Flowers. Learn basic floral design, make and take home your own bouquet, and enjoy treats and beverages. Details
