Saturday, May 18, 12-5 p.m., Vernon Blvd., 46th-50th Ave. - LIC Springs! is a free community street festival celebrating Long Island City with activities, art, food, fitness, music, and more.
Experiences include:
- Photo booths for all ages and pets from Astoria Film Festival, Jungly, K-talk Korean Learning Center, Pawsbury Lane/Bond Vet, and Court Square Animal Hospital

Astoria Film Festival
Astoria Film Festival Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization and an official NYC DOE vendor bringing filmmaking education workshops, internships, fellowships, film events, and film production services to the NYC Community, with a focus on highlighting under-represented groups of people. Astoria Film Festival also connects students and emerging filmmakers with industry professionals, creating a multi-generational, diverse, filmmaking community and network.
The 2024 festival is coming up soon, with in-person events at Arri Rental and Kaufman Astoria Studios from May 30-June 2 and online events from June 3-6. Visit astoriafilmfestival.org/festival2024 for more info and tickets.

The annual Queens Taste food festival returns to the New York Hall of Science on Tuesday, May 21, 6-9 p.m. Showcase your restaurant to over 700 attendees, including guests, elected officials, and prominent Queens stakeholders. Participating businesses will receive $250 to defray expenses and essential supplies like silverware and tables. Electrical cooking allowed.
