Saturday, May 18, 12-5 p.m., Vernon Blvd., 46th-50th Ave. - LIC Springs! is a free community street festival celebrating Long Island City with activities, art, food, fitness, music, and more.

Experiences include:

• Photo booths for all ages and pets from Astoria Film Festival, Jungly, K-talk Korean Learning Center, Pawsbury Lane/Bond Vet, and Court Square Animal Hospital
• Pet adoption van from LIC Veterinary Center and The Veterinarians at Court Square

Sat., May 18, through 8 p.m. - Join MoMA PS1 to celebrate four new exhibitions featuring talks, performances, and workshops from artists and curators, and hear DJ Laura Se Fue spin rancheras, boleros, cumbia, punk, disco-funk, as well as contemporary and classic corridos on the Terrace, in dialogue with Reynaldo Rivera. Sat., May 18, through 9 p.m. - Join Museum of the Moving Image to kick-off OPEN WORLDS—an initiative offering free access to MoMI's lobby and courtyard all summer long—with VR demos, a new media installation, and DJ Stretch Armstrong spinning music. Details

Sat., May 18, through 10 p.m. - Experience the vibrant flavors of Indonesia at Culture Lab LIC's Indonesian Food Night Market, and head inside Culture Lab LIC to view the art exhibition "Shattered: A Visual Journey Through the Mind" and engage in interactive theater performance "Third Law."

Weds., May 15, 6:30-8:30 p.m. - Provide your input at Reimagine Ravenswood's second public workshop on how the Ravenswood Generating Station site can be reused to connect the neighborhood to the waterfront and serve community needs. Light food and drink will be provided. Details

Thurs., May 16, 5-8:30 p.m. - Speak directly with MTA planners about your thoughts on the proposed final plan for the Queens Bus Network Redesign and share your feedback at an open house at the Variety Boys and Girls Club. Details

Thurs., May 16 and Mon., May 20, 6:30 p.m. - Join the Department of City Planning, in partnership with Council Member Julie Won & WXY Studio, for the third round of Focus Area Meetings for the LIC Neighborhood Plan. Share your valuable ideas and contribute to shaping the future of LIC. Details

Astoria Film Festival

Astoria Film Festival Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization and an official NYC DOE vendor bringing filmmaking education workshops, internships, fellowships, film events, and film production services to the NYC Community, with a focus on highlighting under-represented groups of people. Astoria Film Festival also connects students and emerging filmmakers with industry professionals, creating a multi-generational, diverse, filmmaking community and network.

Restaurants, Bars, and Breweries - Last Chance To Sign Up for Queens Taste

The annual Queens Taste food festival returns to the New York Hall of Science on Tuesday, May 21, 6-9 p.m. Showcase your restaurant to over 700 attendees, including guests, elected officials, and prominent Queens stakeholders. Participating businesses will receive $250 to defray expenses and essential supplies like silverware and tables. Electrical cooking allowed.
