Discover how you can mentor a local teen at Info Tech High School in LIC. Local Artists Sought for Waterfront Mural
Frank Ottomanelli's LIC seeks visual artists for a major community mural project open to residents of Long Island City, artists based in the community, and all those who live or work in the borough of Queens. Frank Ottomanelli has already installed five sections, and now he’s looking for more art as he builds a roughly 11,000-square-foot, three-foot-high panorama that’ll wrap around his concession’s outside dining area in Hunter’s Point Park South. LIC Partnership seeks an LIC BID Operations and Retail Support Manager to support the work of the BID Department and increase our merchant engagement. This position will focus on assisting with day-to-day BID operations, such as helping manage the supplemental services contractors, with an additional focus on retail merchant assistance and engagement. This position will interact regularly with business owners, property owners, city agencies and other stakeholders, both in the field and via phone and virtual meetings. Details

Dining Out NYC Applications Now Open
Applications for Dining Out NYC, the City’s new permanent outdoor dining program, are now open! Restaurants that are actively participating in the temporary Open Restaurants program need to apply by August 3, 2024 in order to continue operating outdoor dining setups. Once their application is approved, outdoor dining setups will need to comply with the permanent Dining Out NYC design requirements within 30 days.
An online application, information about the new guidelines and resources available to help can be found at www.nyc.gov/diningoutnyc. Businesses can call 212-839-4500 with any questions.
