LHC is excited to bring to our membership one of the highest-rated programs from the 2023 Premier program year! Join us and Dr. Matt Levy, Chief Medical Officer for the Howard County Department of Fire & Rescue Services, on Thursday, February 22 from 8:45 to 10 a.m., to learn more about a "Just Culture" framework that the Department has implemented, but can apply to all workplaces that are aiming to make continual improvements and positive impacts. | |

LHC will be collaborating with Respite Retreats for its upcoming Service Friday on Friday, February 23 from 9 a.m. to noon at Respite Retreats, located at 6021 University Boulevard, Ste. 175, Ellicott City As part of their ReTreat Yourself program, volunteers will help fill boxes with uplifting and therapeutic items designed for cancer patients and their caregivers to take their minds off their diagnosis.

Be the change with MakingChange for Friday's March 22nd Service Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. Learn more about MakingChange, Inc., a nonprofit organization that is changing lives through financial education. Get a better understanding of their various programs – for both individuals and groups, along with financial and housing counseling services. Also plan to take part in some hands-on volunteering to ready the organization for their upcoming kickoff to Money Matters Month – Passport to Financial Literacy Event.
In addition, tax season is here! Do you have an interest in learning more about becoming a MakingChange Volunteer Income Tax Assistant (VITA)? Training is provided and you do not need to have a financial background! Please contact Jasmine Brewer to learn more.

Join Historic Ellicott City, Inc. and the Howard County Historical Society for the first Mill Town Tea of 2024, on Thursday, February 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Museum of Howard County History, located at 8328 Court House Avenue, Ellicott City. A Full Afternoon Tea will include a selection of tea, sandwiches, scones, sweets, savories, and fruit, along with a short history of Valentine's Day traditions.
