Tickets are now available for Leadership Howard County's (LHC's) Illuminating
Leadership event on Thursday, November 16 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at HCC's Horowitz Center. This can't miss, fun and entertaining event will recognize some of our community's great leaders including, Key Leader, Zack Shariff, LP '12, and 2023's recipients of the Best Class Ever (BCE), and LHC's new Emerging Leader and Corporate Community Impact Awards. Award submissions and BCE point submissions are due September 30. More details about the event, award nomination forms sponsorship opportunities, and to purchase tickets may be found at the link below. Earliest-bird tickets are available now at $100 through September 15. Beginning September 16, tickets will increase to $115 through October 31 and, November 1 through November 16, tickets will be $130. For non-profits with less than 25 employees, tickets are $95.

Leadership Howard County (LHC) is looking forward to its first "Service Friday" on Friday, September 8 from 10 am to 12 pm. There are many ways members may participate from donating supplies, or funds to purchase supplies, to volunteering time to assemble backpacks at The Rouse Exhibit Center, located at 10215 Wincopin Circle, Suite 200, Columbia.
Please note that the Exhibit Center is NOT a drop-off location, only an assembly site.
School supplies may be dropped off at the LHC offices on Tuesdays - Wednesdays - Thursdays from 10 am to 2 pm. Please email Karen Bryant if you need to arrange an alternate drop off day/time. Let us know how you can help by accessing the Sign-Up Genius; suggestion links are noted below, fyi.

Loyola University Maryland is looking forward to welcoming a diverse cohort of dynamic emerging leaders for Leadership Essentials 2024. The program will include:

Skill-building sessions: The full cohort will meet 1-2 times/month for full-day sessions on leadership topics such as self-awareness, communication skills, high performing teams, conflict management, and more (program schedule).

Leadership coaching: Participants will meet one-on-one with a leadership coach twice/month to discuss personal and professional goals, explore challenges at work, and create an action plan. Coaches will help participants hone critical thinking skills, strengthen relationships, and manage conflict.

Community Impact Projects: Teams from the cohort will support a local nonprofit and further develop their teamwork, project management, and communication skills.
