Area Band Fest At Badger HS
Wednesday morning the LGMS 8th Grade Band, Brookwood Band, and the BHS Wind Ensemble met as a combined group at Badger High School for our Area Band Fest. The morning began with the middle schoolers receiving a clinic from Mr. Bunge. The middle school students have a been preparing the same selection, and it was fun to combine the bands and work on the many musical nuances as a combined band. The Wind Ensemble joined partway through, and the combined students sight-read a “Doors” medley together. The collaboration and mentorship from the high school students to the middle school students is inspiring. As a teacher, it is so great to see former students…but watching them work with the younger students is this special full circle moment you can’t really put into words. It was fun, and educational. I can’t wait to see where these kids end up. Our future is in good hands!

Communication Protocol
Whom do I contact with a question or suggestion?
Lake Geneva Schools’ communication protocols help promote direct, open, and respectful interactions so that we quickly and efficiently resolve problems and concerns. The communication protocol starts with the staff member closest to the situation, as that person usually has the most information. However, at times, additional personnel are required to resolve specific concerns.

CLICK BELOW FOR ALL UPDATED SPORT & INTRAMURAL SCHEDULES & INFO
For our athletics, we do have forms that are required for participation. We will be having parents/guardians complete the concussion/cardiac arrest agreement (waiver) through google form (linked below). This form is needed for your child to participate in any athletic intramural or interscholastic sport at LGMS but only needs to be filled out once per year. This form also needs to be filled out with your child. We want athletes to know and understand the signs and symptoms of a concussion or possible cardiac arrest. All of the information needed is linked on the google form and this form should take less than 10 minutes to complete.
If you filled this out already, you do not have to do it again.
We will have paper copies available in the main office if parents/guardians would prefer to come into LGMS to complete.

**ATTENDANCE INFORMATION**
Important: Student Attendance and
New Attendance Procedures
| |
School attendance is very important, and we encourage families to make sure their children are in school as much as possible. However, children who are sick need to stay home for their well-being and to prevent others from becoming sick. Click the link to review the Lake Geneva Schools Protocols for When to Keep Your Child Home From School: https://bit.ly/3Bl6Gl9
| ***Students need to be to school by 7:15am and are to be in their FLEX hour by the time the bell rings at 7:25am. | |
Student Attendance and Attendance Procedures
One of the biggest ways parents/guardians can help their child succeed this school year is to make sure their child gets to school, on time, each and every day. The evidence is clear: children with good attendance are more likely to be successful in school. High attendance rates are linked to high student achievement. Every day counts, and missing school even 10% of the time has a significant negative impact on reading and math achievement as children progress through school. We want to ask for parent’s/guardian’s commitment to making sure their child attends school every day possible this year.
When a child does have to be absent from school, we ask that you communicate with us about the absence BEFORE 9:00AM. When your child will be absent, you have three communication options:
Call Mrs. Kramp in the main office at 262-348-3040 to speak with her and/or leave a message.
| |
REPORT ABSENCES ON POWERSCHOOL OR A PHONE CALL OR NOW YOU CAN EMAIL THE LMGS OFFICE AT lgmsoffice@badger.k12.wi.us
BE SURE TO LET THE OFFICE KNOW BY 9:00AM.
THANK YOU!
