LD2 FOOD DRIVE

Join us for the upcoming food drive that will support the Paradise Valley Food Bank. Donations will be provided to those individuals and families that reside in our community, who live with food insecurities. Families and individuals may come 12 times a year to the food bank and Seniors may come 17 times a year.

We will need support on two dates - one day for a literature drop and the second day for picking up the food.

Saturday, March 25th for the Literature Drop
Saturday, April 1st for the Food Pick-Up

We will launch the effort from Grover's Basin Park (17447 N. 20th St.) at 10:00 AM.

OPPORTUNITY ARIZONA

On Monday afternoon, Opportunity Arizona will be speaking in the Senate Elections Committee against 2 bad anti-democracy election bills.

First, HB 2415 would make it so that if someone on the Active Early Voting List (AEVL) or the mail-in voting list misses voting in a single election cycle, they will be removed from the mail-in voting list.

Also, HB 2591 is another bad bill that would greatly limit ballot dropboxes. The committee starts on Monday at 2 PM, and we would love to have you if you are able to attend!

SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

DEADLINE TO APPLY: MAY 19

LD2 is happy to announce its partnership with our neighboring district (LD4) to provide a summer internship program.

During this 10-week program, you will meet other Democratic-minded students and learn valuable networking, writing, fundraising, and other skills with applications far beyond politics!

You must apply by May 19^th to be considered for the program.

Stay informed about local/national issues and candidates.
Be an advocate for voter registration and voting rights.

Educate voters in your precinct about the Democratic Party, its nominees, and issues.
Attend legislative district monthly meetings.
Attend MCDP & ADP Meetings.

April 19: LD2 Monthly Meeting at 6:30 PM

LD2 will hold its monthly meeting at the PVCC Conference Center (17811 N 32nd St), located off 32nd St, just North of Grovers. You’ll see a separate parking lot from the main campus. The agenda will be sent to PCs in advance.
