SHRINK THE CHANGE

Dear LD2 North Phoenix and Friends,

Real talk - we must build capacity this year if we want to succeed next year.

As we approach the second quarter of 2023 (April - May - June), together, let's shrink the change.

Shrink the Change means focusing on one thing until it sticks. It means breaking the goal down into smaller pieces.

For example, if each person focuses on one action that will help build capacity, imagine the impact on our LD collectively.

Here are examples of one thing you can do to build capacity:

Get three (3) people registered for Early Voting.
Introduce one (1) qualifying member (<40) to the Maricopa County Young Dems.
Register for one (1) canvass with Rep. Schwiebert.
Invite one (1) person to the LD2 Monthly Meeting.
Send one (1) email introduction to a prospective Precinct Committeeperson and a member of the LD2 Board.

What else could help build capacity?

Reach out to me with your ideas, questions, or concerns. We are in this together on a mission to turn LD2 Blue. Here we grow!

SUMMER INTERNSHIP - DON'T DELAY

APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED NOW!

LD2 is happy to announce their partnership with our neighboring district (LD4) to provide a summer internship program.

During this 10-week program running from June 4^th – August 13^th, you will meet other Democratic-minded students and learn valuable networking, writing, fundraising, and other skills with applications far beyond politics!

Applicants will be admitted on a rolling basis until 24 slots are filled or before May 19^th to be considered for the program. Several folks have already applied – don’t delay!

We are now able to begin PC Appointments.

Why Become a PC?

Engage your Neighbors.

Support your community.

Get Democrats elected from the bottom to the top of the ballot.

Here is some more information about the key responsibilities of a Democratic Precinct Committee Member:

Stay informed about local/national issues and candidates.
Be an advocate for voter registration and voting rights.
Build relationships with Democrats in your precinct.
Educate voters in your precinct about the Democratic Party, its nominees, and issues.
Attend legislative district monthly meetings.
Attend MCDP & ADP Meetings.

April 19: LD2 Monthly Meeting at 6:30 PM

LD2 will hold its monthly meeting at the PVCC Conference Center (17811 N 32nd St), located off 32nd St, just North of Grovers. You’ll see a separate parking lot from the main campus. The agenda will be sent to PCs in advance.
