J & K CANDIDATES

Thanks to Julie Gunnigle, Rep Judy Schwiebert, Jeanne Casteen, and Rep Kelli Butler who presented at our April LD2 meeting. We are lucky to have wonderful candidates who are passionate about education and human rights and want to help the folks living in our great state of AZ.

As we heard, Julie Gunnigle qualified for the ballot in less than 24 hours, but Kelli Butler has to collect signatures the traditional way using paper petitions. Find out how you can help each of these candidates by visiting their websites.

What a formidable team when we get our J and K candidates in office! Thank you for running.

HELPING OUR LD2 CANDIDATES

How can you help? Can you make phone calls? Can you help knock on neighborhood doors? Can you drive a door knocker which is especially important in the summer? Can you host a house party with your neighbors? These are just some of the ways you can help our LD2 Candidates get their message out to our voters. This is especially important in the regions of our district where we don’t have any PC representation which we learned about our April meeting.

Please contact our LD2 Campaign Organizer, Taylor Nelson who will be able to find just the right opportunity where you can get involved; she can be reached at 515-822-4022 or tnelson@azdem.org

EARTH DAY RALLY

APRIL 23 from 3-6pm!

An Earth Day Rally will be held at the AZ State Capital (1700 W Washington St) on April 23 from 3-6pm during earth week. This is one of three National Rallies (DC, Atlanta, Phoenix) around Climate, Care, Jobs and Justice. Sierra Club, Interfaith Power & Light and a number of other groups will be in attendance.

We can’t wait any longer to tackle the climate crisis. We need a massive build-out of American-made clean energy to protect our health, create good union jobs, and lower energy bills for families. We need our leaders to invest in an equitable transition to clean energy, made right here in America, and to invest in climate, justice, and jobs to ensure thriving, sustainable communities.
