LCTCS Board Member Tim Hardy
Appointed ACCT Board Vice Chair
BATON ROUGE, LA – Today, Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) announced LCTCS Board of Supervisor Member Tim Hardy was elected Vice Chair of the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) Board of Directors during the 2022 ACCT Leadership Congress in New York, New York on Thursday, October 27 and Friday, October 28. In 2024, Mr. Hardy will be in line to become ACCT Board Chair.

“As past chairman of the LCTCS Board and a notable leader in Louisiana, I am thrilled about Tim Hardy’s involvement with ACCT, a vital partner of Community Colleges across the nation, including the impact on Louisiana throughout the years," said LCTCS Board Chair Willie Landry Mount. "Tim’s role as Vice Chairman emerges the voice of LCTCS at the forefront of national conversations and best practices in post-secondary education.”

Hardy has served on the LCTCS Board of Supervisors since 2010 and has also been an ACCT Board Member since 2016. A Shreveport native, Hardy has provided leadership on the LCTCS Board as past Board Chair and is the current Chair of the Personnel Committee with responsibility for leading system chancellor searches. He is also an advocate for Workforce Pell nationally while focusing locally on policies to improve access for underrepresented populations, increasing funding to better serve adult learners from every background especially those without a high school diploma, and building on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion policy efforts of the Board.
