There has been a 10% increase over the past year in people delcaring Jesus as Lord and Savior! Baptisms have increased 32% and people all over the Region are publicly declaring their faith in Jesus!

Why Cadillac?

We didn’t initially choose Cadillac, but as we prayed for direction, the path to Cadillac became clear. The community here is spiritually stagnant, with many people having left the church due to disillusionment. Our mission at (Re)Church is to reimagine what church can be: a place where everyone-- regardless of their past--is welcome to play a part in God’s plan. We’ve seen God work in remarkable ways, drawing people who have been far from faith or never experienced it and transformed hearts and lives. We're also excited about the partnership we have formed with Pastor Jim and Rachel Gulish and Dighton Wesleyan Church as our sending Church, working together to reach more of the 22 Million in the GLR that are outside of a relationship with Jesus.

Cadillac is searching for something fresh, even if they don’t yet realize that Christ is what they seek. Darkness and sin weigh heavily here, and while some have found a church home, many still seek an authentic faith community. (Re)Church aims to engage the 62% of the population without religious affiliation, bringing them to Christ.

The Name: (Re)Church

Inspired by Isaiah 58, which calls for genuine worship through acts of justice and mercy, we aim to be a community that loosens wicked bonds, frees the oppressed, and meets the needs of the vulnerable. The Wesleyan Church once had a presence here, and we believe in rebuilding on that foundation. Isaiah 58:11-12 promises that those who follow God’s guidance will rebuild ancient ruins and restore broken communities. We pray this will be true of (Re)Church.

Our mission is to (Re)ach, (Re)store, (Re)build, and (Re)send people, inviting them to discover how God will fill the blanks in their lives.

Our Family:

The Kotrch Family Pastor Lance, his wife Miranda, and their sons Joe (16), Jared (15), and Jaxon (11), along with their Chocolate Lab Brutus and 60 chickens, are the core of (Re)Church. Lance’s faith journey began in Kentwood, MI, and over 14 years he’s served in various ministries. After a Youth Pastor position in Iowa, God called them to plant a church. Their journey led them back to Michigan, where they felt a clear call to serve in Cadillac.

PASTORS IN NEW POSITIONS!

Aaron Spratling

Aaron has been voted in to the lead pastor position at Greenville Community Church in Greenville, MI and is stepping in this August.

Ben Kidder

Ben was voted in to be the lead of Hayward Wesleyan Church in Hayward, WI and has been leading in this new position since June this year.

Jason Sanders

This past July, Jason stepped into the lead pastor role of Spooner Wesleyan Church in Spooner, WI following Ron Gormong after serving as the Associate Pastor.

Mike Knox

This past July, Mike has stepped into the lead pastor position of The River - A Wesleyan Church, in Minong, WI.

We look forward for everything God will do through these pastors & their churches.

Church Multiplication Boot Camp

Equips Christian leaders with a practical how-to guide for launching a missional church, campus, or a fresh expression. It helps Christian leaders develop their unique vision for the mission they believe God is calling them to. Attendees say they love that they get to build deep friendships with other Christian leaders living on a mission to expand God’s kingdom.
